Samus could have fucked up Area Zero, then after it detatched, just jumped out the airlock. She can survive in open space, as seen in Prime 3, and those little boosters on her back would let her control her flight to get back to the Bottle Ship.

She was never in "open space" in Corruption. Even talking about the Valhalla.

She can survive the vacuum of space, but we can't say she can actively move through it.

Even so, A) She could jump out the same door she went in, and it'd be a straight line to the corresponding door on the Bottle Ship, or B) she could remote-control her ship to pick her up.

All of the space ships in the metroid universe seem to have technology which gives them gravity.

They don't seem to have the inertial dampers like on star trek, otherwise that whole thing with the last part of the queen battle wouldn't have happened.

I was confused about the physics explaining that too, honestly I don't get how that sort of thing would have worked... Space physics blow my mind sorta though, so it's not really that surprising, and I just rolled with it. I thought it was like, even sort of cool. *cough*

at some point i started assuming every spaceship that has internal gravity has an internal device that generates gravity.

we even see that device while fighting Nightmare.

does spaceships have brakes? i mean... reverse thrust is one thing, but i don't think brakes gonna work on vacuum...
