If I remember correctly, there is a powerbomb door in brinstar that you go through and it takes you on a very long path to those supers in crateria. You probably passed it before you had morphball
You should have Screw Attack by now if you're basically at the same position that he was in the pic. Look for a room with a locked door in the ceiling and some red pirates that you couldn't kill before now and take out everything in the room. This unlocks the door and allows you to enter the larger part of Maridia and make your way to Draygon.
Took me a while to figure it out, but the fact that you take out a red pirate on your way to the Gravity Suit acted as a hint to me and it ended up being what I needed to do again to proceed.
Okay, But I'm stuck without any suit. All I have is everything in the HUD except X-ray, cuz that is a bitch to get. I need to find my Gravity. I found Spring ball after I went to the bottom and got the map. I'm now stuck again. with low missiles and the Metmods. (Mini Metroids)
That's what I tried to do at first, but I could only get 1/2 way to it max before failing. Ended up using a good old Shinespark to get it in the end.
And you don't have Varia yet either, huh? From what I rememeber, it's in lower Maridia, so you're close by based on that pic. Once you get that you can go into Norfair and look around for the next item on the list.
If you find Botwoon, you've gotten to the Varia, so I know it's in Maridia somewhere.
Okayyy, I'll get it eventually. But there is only one thing bugging me, Is Botwoon hard at all? I don't think he would be. Anyways. I'll search for Varia. thanks! :D
Looked at that Noob bridge thing. I'm doing exactly that but I can't even make it a quarter of that.
Well, Guess what i found!!!! I went out of Marida and beat Phantoon and found my Speedbooster and! Spazer! and I got that Damn X-ray too, I used my Spring ball to get the X-ray.
Hehe, I got X-ray on my first pass through, as I'm a determined sonofabitch. I've had a lot of experience messing around with jumping on crumble blocks, so it wasn't too bad.
Yep. I kinda gave away a little earlier on in one of my posts on what to look for to start heading towards Gravity, but the Screw Attack is necessary to get there so you're on the right track.
And if you haven't guessed, Gravity is somewhere in Norfair so you're already close by if you've just gotten the SA.
And I guess there's a little bit of non-linearity in this hack after all, because I went up to the Wrecked Ship before ever entering Maridia or Norfair if I remember right. Makes sense that you could do it either way though since there's not really anything blocking you from going either direction.
Not exactly. I remember going down there because I couldn't find anything either but based on current equipment that leads to dead ends.
If you want to see a more direct answer this time since you've been running around a bit from what I can tell, here's the place to go:
In the top right portion of Norfair there's a grey door being guarded by a red pirate. Kill everything in that room (including the dragon guys that hop out of the ground on the level below the pirate) and it'll unlock the door. Catch is that you couldn't kill the pirate until you have Screw Attack, which is why you can't get through the door earlier.
Ohhhh, I get it now, ok, Thanks! Also, in brinstar at the shaft to go to the supers in the room blocked by the pirate the screw attack goes right through it, How so?
Screw Attack works a bit differently than normal in this one. It doesn't seem to do as much damage at once, so sometimes you have to jump at enemies a few times to kill them, making sure that SA covers the enemy and that they flash (the flash that shows up when an enemy takes damage, that is) a few times as you're spinning. It takes a few seconds, but it is working against them even if it doesn't seem to be.
If he doesn't have Gravity yet, there's no way he's got Space Jump at this point. But yeah, that's a great strategy to remember once you get to that point in the game because it works wonders on enemies that used to be a pain to deal with otherwise.
Wow, I;m really liking this hack. I can't believe I've played this long and covered such a huge map without acquiring any beams, suits, or even bombs. This hack is great so far.
Opium, the first beam you get is Spazer. it should be in the WS. after beating Phantoon. get the SB. and then head towards the map. as soon as you get it. look for one that is not linked to any rooms on the map (its one space off) in that room is the Spazer :)

Geez, thanks for all the unsolicited and untagged SPOILERS!
