You should try for a low% run next. It'd be interesting to see how low it could go. I think it'd be in the high 20s, or maybe low 30s. The two suits and three Energy Tanks would be a must (5%), for Mother Brain. Wave Beam and Ice Beam would be necessary for Tourian, as it'd be easier than using an extra two Power Bombs (7%). I think you need Grapple and Power Bombs to wake Zebes (9%). Space Jump would be required for Lower Norfair entry (10%). Missiles and Supers make it tough, and I reckon this'd be around 15%-20%. Zebetite skip could be used, but you'd still need quite a few expansions, due to the lower amount given per expansion, and needing to beat mother Brain in her glass stage.
Well, I'm at Ridley (In the fight) And I have, 3 E-tanks, Varia and Gravity. 2 Supers, 12 Missiles (Half of them were mistakes) Plasma, Ice, Wave, Spazer, Charge, Speedbooster, Grapple, Morphball and bombs, one Reserve (it was a mistake aswell) and yeah. Thats about it. I reckon to end it with low 20% high 10% around say, 18%?
Having a hard time With Ridley, I may just have to get more E-tanks. BUT I don't want to so I'll TRY to kill him. I have him at darkish-light red. so Its possible.
(Also, I'm doing a low% run right now, this is it. I'm at Ridley)
Any the run you're doing now is any%. Low% is a run completed with the lowest number of items collected, which is what I was asking about earlier. I forgot to mention that I thought Screw would be required, because you have to kill the Pink pirates to continue?
Yes, You need SA. I'll try to get lower but It'll be HARD! to kill Ridley as I'll only have 99 out of a possible 1400. Well anyhow. I'm in class so I'll finish up at home thank god it almost 3.
You can't get less than three Energy Tanks, as you need them and the two suits to survive Mother Brain's beam. Oh, and it's 1499 max health (excluding reserves).
Um, no, and no. Assuming you got lucky enough to have Draygon not hit you once prior to Grappling, I believe it takes 60 health. Mother Brain's beam does exactly three Tanks worth of damage, hence the necessity for three being collected.
I wish this wasn't for an unheadered ROM. As a result, I can't hard-patch it with any of my following fun little patches: suit colors closely resembling Prime, Justin Bailey, improved appearance of missile + super missile + power bomb tanks, ZM morph ball, no energy consumed for shinesparking, etc.
I never could get Justin Bailey to work on Redesign, either. I know it's possible because I have seen vids of people playing Redesign with the Justin Bailey patch. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Well I did it with only like, 91 energy and it took me to 41. and I have 3.
EDIT: I'm trying to use Murder beam on Ridley but the screen freezes, how so? I'm doing everything right.
No. You can either do the Zebetite glitch (check the main site), or get more Missiles. I did mention this to you earlier, you know.

It's unfortunate if all of the stuff you have acquired is for a headered ROM, as 99% of hack related stuff is for an unheadered ROM.
Well, I can't go out of Tourian, so getting more missiles in a no go. Zebetite glitch won't help but I can't get through MB herself, I'll get through stage one (harder) But stage two, Murber beam samus comes out.
Unless you specifically state what the problem is, we can't help you. Are you having trouble getting through the Zebetites, through her glass, beating her once she stands up, or what?
EDIT3: Awww Shit. How many missiles are needed to get TO MB in her room? I ran out of missiles and do beams work on them?
There is a missile recharge thing right outside of the zebetite room. You can destroy as many zebetites as you can until your missiles run out, then go to the right and exit the room, recharge your missiles, and return. The zebetites you have destroyed will not be there.

Is there a way to alter a patch that was meant for a headered ROM so that it works on an unheadered one?

Yeah, but if you don't have enough when full to break the glass, you're stuck.

I don't know. Of course, most of the patch changes could be added manually, but that kinda defeats the object of a nice easy patch. The no spark damage thing is easy enough, as it's only a very small number of changes, but I recall you saying you didn't want to fiddle too much...
I just don't want to spend a huge amount of time learning how to do something if someone else already knows how to do it and it takes them 10 seconds. Call me lazy.
