Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Not that I've ever seen.
i want to do a save stateless completion and i want to know what are the rules for that, like can i use slowdowns and do i need to make a video of it. and if video is required what program can i use to do that since zsnes's video wont show if i used saves or not

For a stateless run, you're essentially imagining that it's a console run, so you'd only be allowed to use the save rooms that are available in-game.  No slow-down or other tools.  For evidence, you're always best recording with snes9x.  Providing the actual .smv recording will probably be sufficient initially, as it'll show how many rerecords were used.  Of course, completing a console condition run would mean serious bragging rights, so you'd no doubt want to convert it to a movie anyway.
ok then in prob a few months ill be done as itll prob take me that long to beat it like that ^^ but thanks for the info. now i just need a monster connection in order upload such a long video. btw for the moment can you add me to the list of ppl who beat it normally i can make a video of me beating it with saving the animals where should i upload that
sorry to repost but i forgot to ask about the turbo button cause the snes has a controller that has turbo on it but im not sure if it can run at 60 hz so would that be allowed in the stateless run? and i know speedups are not in the original console but i figure that it should be allowed seeing that its a handicap rather than helpful, i want to use it to speed up door transitions and such
Console means just that.  No turbo allowed if you want credit for 'console conditions'.
but i have turbo on my console

To have the 'console conditions credentials' (god what a mouthful) it has to be played with the original controller I believe. Even though the use of turbo is just used to speed up doors and item collection (which I like to do myself on emulator because it helps me) it's not allowed to be implemented, as anything used outside of normal hardware is seen as potentially aiding you or even considered cheating.

Also, for the upload of the video, you'd do it in segments.  Youtube allows 15 minutes per video nowadays, so it's not as bad as it was. Very Happy
yeah i figured out that if i cut the video at save points then i cant be accused of using a save state ^^ but problem is the part with the mockball under spikes took me like an hour so ill have to edit that one but ill give the full smv to anyone who requires proof of that part but once i succeed in that (im getting pretty close, i can now morph ball without hitting the spikes but im falling through cause i press down 2 times without enough time between) hopefully ill die and then restart and do it in less tries. if i can get through this then there will only be one part that im worried about which is the diagonal bomb jump. but im not too worried about the bosses ridley will require some luck but shouldnt be too hard. and thank you all for the info, and wish me good luck ^^.
Does Youtube actually remove videos longer than 15 minutes? I'm almost sure I've seen some pretty long ones.
They reward users that have followed their rules of cutting videos into 10/15 minutes batches to allow uploads (including your present videos) to be over 15 minutes. Mine has. You just have to go onto 'uploads' on your Youtube channel and it should say something like "congratulations you can now upload videos of longer than 15 minutes". Of course I think this is only rewarded to people who have uploaded a number of videos to begin with. As that is a demonstration to them of your understanding their guidelines.

For the spike thing, you can just jump to take damage from the spikes, and then do the mockball while you're invulnerable without fear of hitting them again.  This'll give you much more room for error on the trick.
got any good strategies against phantoon? i keep dying cause he just randomly spawns on me all the time, is there some sort of way to guess where hell appear or is it just pure luck? so far hes the only thing in the game that seems to be  more luck than skill.
oh yeah and how much health does he have? in terms of missiles and super missles
update:
i finally got him red but then my damn pc joystick murdered me but now im starting to see paterns and i should be done with less than a days time hopefully with this guy. saturn you are a genius for making the best hack ive seen so far, its impossible to go the wrong way cause u blocked off all possibilities of sequence breaking which is only possible when you take into account all the items a person can have and all the bug's/glitches available so i have to really thank you for all the hard work you put in here. and kejardon too you are awesome.
i cant seem to make the long underwater jump even with savestates is there some sort of technique to jump further that i dont know or smth?

Do you have the Gravity Suit yet?
it seems i finally met my match at dreygon. im too lazy to study his and the turrets patterns and coming up with a strategy. so right now im going to stop smi until a later time. dreygon and ridley have been spared for a while but later on i will continue. so look forward to the live death of dreygon and ridley in real time.
Yoshi is back
You spelt it wrong. It's DrAygon, also I beat Impossible. Its literally IMPOSSIBLE at points. Hard not that hard. i can help. What do you need? I'll try my best to remember where it is or how to beat it.

Which leads me to believe that he tried to do Draygon a few times, got killed, and didn't have the desire to continue for a while, so he's taking a break.  Nothing about being stuck, as such.
Same here for Draygon on Impossible. I think part of it is the fact I have a lot less ET than I should have. I might resume that in the near future Think.
Yoshi is back
Well, I found Draygon hard, But he was easy to beat after the 5th try :)
Draygon wasn't that hard when I beat him, it just took endless retries of a set of savestates, commitment and memorizing his patterns with just 3 energy tanks at that point.  I currently don't feel motivated to finish SMI for a while since I got the plasma beam and I dread the hell runs I have to do along with Ridley. One question, what would be the ideal amount of energy tanks/crystal flashes necessary in order to do Lower Norfair and beat Ridley/get Varia Suit?
dave you beat him without save states? if so pls tell me what strategy u used to avoid the turrets.
