Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I'm sure that's not the case here, as even if you were viewing the frames between arm pumps, Samus still wouldn't return to her normal running animation, which you can clearly see on that part I mentioned.  I can't believe that the move arm, aim cannon, move arm back is all done in one frame.
So I was looking for something to do today, and I went looking through the hacks on Construction to see what I could find and chose this one since I've heard some good things about it before.

Not sure how I feel about the level design just yet, but I'm slowly making progress so I'm going to save my judgment until I get further in. So far I've got Morph, Bombs, Charge, 2 E Tanks, and 30ish missiles. I started reading a little bit of this topic from the beginning, and it seems I did in fact find the first missile tank, which I found to be in an odd place and until I read that thought I had done a SB somehow. But I also read that a lot of people get stuck right around where I am now, so I don't feel as bad now that I have a good idea on where to look for the Varia Suit after seeing some hints for it here. (I'd been running in circles for ages, and the Underworld seemed to me like it was the only path I could take, but I found out quick that there's no way to get across without Varia so I knew I was missing something.)

Like I said, I'm going to try and delve further into this version of Zebes before I can decide how I ultimately feel about this, but to be honest the early segments weren't giving me a very positive first impression. Granted, this is only my second hack after Redesign, so maybe I'm still not used to how things are typically done in these yet.
I love GD, but I got stumped constantly on my first playthrough.  I only started to really like it the second time around.

God, was that Varia Suit impossible to find! I'm really upset about that one since I had bombed the heck out of that girder wall for ages, but not from the platform itself. I had been bombing TOO high, but in the right place! Evil or Very Mad

Hopefully now that this issue is out of the way I can get a move on tomorrow and make some good progress into the Underworld where it sounds like things pick up a bit.

Edit: So things have been going pretty well for the most part once I got to the Underworld. Found the Grapple Beam easily enough, and then managed to locate Supers and the Ice Beam after some exploring. Kinda ran into Crocomire without expecting him there, and went in with a grand total of 80 energy to take him down. Got really frustrated with him for a while until I sat there and collected enough energy so that I could spam missiles at him from the ground, hoping up and down to try and get out of the lava whenever he was moving back. (So the "rush-at-him-blindly-and-fire-everything-I-had-until-he-falls-strategy" more or less.) Not exactly what you're supposed to do there I'd imagine since there were the grapple points scattered along the ceiling, but it worked for me.

Currently trying to figure out what to do now with the Ice Beam, since nothing leaps out at me immediately. Probably going to head back to Tetra to see if I missed something there, since I haven't been up there in a while.

Right, I had wanted to mention this about the Varia: I have a feeling it wouldn't be missed as much if one small change was made to that girder opening. Having the opening in the ground right next to the spot you have to bomb makes it much harder to find/navigate through than I expected, so even if there were a floor right there where you could easily bomb from it could theoretically make that much easier to notice. (So basically take out the second hole in the floor and move it over or something.)
Got around to finishing this one a few minutes ago:

10:02 Time, 77% Completion

Either my exploration and item hunting skills are rusty (quite a bit) or the layout of this world was not what I had in mind going in. There were a lot of times that I traveled across the same path in order to progress due to the blocks (doors or otherwise) that were in my way for a good half of the game or more. Several of the items, Varia especially, were a pain to locate because of how difficult it was to know which wall/block you could get through. (Glad I found X-Ray as early as I did, or else I'd probably still be running in circles.) Part of the problem was that it felt like there were a lot of dead ends or one way streets, or else design choices that made no sense whatsoever. (Such as the turtle blocking the lower Underworld 1/2 way through the game: Was that really necessary?)

Kinda a mixed feeling about the bosses - I love what some of the battles became, and yet dreaded them because they were so challenging. Torizo, Crocomire, Botwoon, Spore Spawn, and Draygon's room designs felt unnecessarily difficult, while everyone else was either their normal selves or felt pathetically easy. (Gold Torizo gave me no trouble whatsoever, since I had 50+ Supers I could unload on him by then.) I knew going in that Ridley was going to be in the escape, plus the fact that he was the only boss that hadn't shown himself until then. Still, got to give props for putting him there I guess. Speaking of which, the escape sequence was great as well, except for the fact that I ran out of time on a few attempts somewhere below the landing site, which didn't make me feel good knowing I was THAT close to the end.

I do want to give a "shout out" of sorts to both the Eternal Hall and Sky Temple. Both of those, Sky Temple especially, were without a doubt the highlights of my trip. EH reminded me a lot of NES Norfair, and in a good way. And I'm sure the Sky Temple has been praised to death by now, but it really deserves everything it gets. Outstanding area.

So to wrap this up, overall I think my attitude took a complete 180 somewhere after collecting the Grapple Beam, since I enjoyed the journey despite all of the comments I just made. Probably won't play it again for a while, which is the same thing I said after finishing Redesign, but the difference is Golden Dawn felt better overall which means I'd most likely pick this one first because I liked it more in the end.

Oh, and one final note: What's with all of the crumble block areas? Not fun at all.

i kinda got sick and tired of searching every spoiler here for my problem so here goes :

I'm stuck after getting grapple and can't figure out where to go, it's driving me nuts.

edit:

nevermind i found the TAS and just follow that one closely (kinda lame but searching hours for the next item is just not my cup of tee.)
UnSealed And UnBound
So, i decided to start playing this hack again after 2 years of never finishing it, but its sad that i know exactly where and how to get the varia suit, but i cant remember where the bombs and first missile is Lol. Still a great, enjoyable hack
I found this to be much easier than dependance
