SM: SFI [locked]

Super metroid: searching for items. anyone else played this? i have 100%, EXCEPT the ice beam. Shocked

Also, does anyone know why every time i get to the room with super metroid, in tourian, the game freezes when i try to leave? the sound gets all glitchy, etc. and its only with these japaneze hacks. redesign and impossible didn't do this. and i'm using the JU version...

its the second from the top, in the left column. download the zip file, (it's scanned already, clean, dont worry) and unzip it to its own folder.

However, the IPS won't be there yet. For some reason the IPS file itself is on an internet explorer file. click on the internet explorer file in the folder and click "SFI version 1.1" to get the latest version of the patch.

apply to JU version. unless another version works well for you, which i might recommend because the japanese hacks tend to freeze for me right before the mother brain.

The hacks are layed out in this order:

Redesign Limit Legacy

SFI Reverse Battle

EDIT: too many SM hacks, i know, but all of these are worth playing if your getting bored of just speed running the original SM...it seems everything on this page is worth mentioning. i'd stay away from Reverse though.

I wonder if Drewseph gave them permission to put Redesign up there?

May be common practice on other boards.

We don't get too much hacks here, and I think the driving motto is that topics don't need to be locked if they're going to completely waste away anyway, which a linkless hack question probably would do.

On the other hand, this SHOULD be in the hack help sticky. So I WILL lock it.
