Howdy!

I'm new around these parts and I'm interested in speed running Metroid games. I'd like to try out Fusion, but I can't stand watching the intro for every reset. What can I do to skip the intro?

Thanks!

I like turtles.
There is a way to not only skip the intro, but every other dialogue scene as well!

Play Zero Mission.

This exploit might skip some of the gameplay as well.

Noted!
i think if you beat the game once without saving, it'll skip the cutscene when you start the file again.

I dunno...
I'm not sure I trust BioSpark when it comes to playing Fusion.

It's not what you're known for around here man.
i don't know how to do it because i always keep a file ready for speedrunning lol

I just tried it out today and the save game works. It definitely helps having the stat tracker and no intro. I clocked in at 1:33 any%.
So beat the game once without saving? that works?

You still have to scroll through the mission text at the beginning. i knew you could have the same thing with the game autosaving after the intro with fresh saves. Kinda like Super Metroid 0:00 save. Being unable to bypass the intro for newgame+ was so frustrating.
aight. thanks! I guess this gives me an excuse to do another fusion 100% practice run on console XD
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
Just go through the intro and play from the autosave.  Or complete the Japanese version

kirby says getting to the map screen on ng+ doesn't skip the intro for some reason?
No, what P.JMan said was correct.

It didn't work for me because I was doing "start over" from a newgame+ file that had a save near endgame. When I do "start over" from that file and soft reset at the map screen, the file just goes back to where it was saved before i tried to start over. So you need to basically beat the game from a 0:00 main deck file in one sitting.

Could copy a 0:00 file to an unused slot and use it when starting a new run
I mean getting a 0:00 main deck file as a new game +
just start a new game and beat it once without saving. then just copy the file if you need to and you'll never have to worry about anything again.
