Interesting, but there seems to be a shit load of scanning. I mean, you have to scan the artifact just to grab it?

Hey guys, I hear the cool thing to do these days is just complain about metroid prime hunters, so uhm, "oh no, those doors are triangles? stupid!" Because I guess it's way too much to ask for someone to be pleased with anything Nintendo does these days. I mean, really, cel-shaded zelda? Which idiot's idea was that. Jeeze, scanning in a game labeled Metroid Prime. Rediculous.

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks that the game actually looks MORE promising after this video.

I almost feel bad about how frustrated everyone's response to this topic made me. Like, I'm pretty much on the verge of anger. Dark Forces doesn't equal Metroid eh buddy? Good thing anyone said it did.
Being an optimist, I'll look on the bright side: At least there wasn't limited ammo, it looked MUCH better than the recent multi videos/the demo, there were new enemies, the whole scanning an item in order to pick it up really isn't all that outlandish... I mean, you don't seem to understand that there haven't been that many Metroid games. Like, there are getting to be more, but the Prime games and the 2d games are DIFFERENT THINGS. They work differently, if you haven't noticed by now, so God forbid they evolve differently. I guess I'm the only one left who has any trust in Nintendo.
Welp, I'm gonna go play some Castlevania. There's one series that I can enjoy without having to come back to my favorite forum and find myself wondering why I return every day... the more people complain, the less I want to use the internet, and that just makes me sad.

And yes, by that, I mean that I totally agree with aj. Everyone always complains over the littlest (is that even a word?) changes. Quite frankly, I surprised that I haven't seen anyone complain about Link turning in a wolf in TP yet....

Same exact thing with me. I just don't really like FPSs in general. I'd rather play an adventure-type Metroid, which all the previous ones have been.

I personally don't mind FPS's... but really, I got into them with goldeneye/perfect dark, and there haven't been too many other FPS's for the cube that interest me at all. Like, I got nightfire, and it sucked, so I didn't get any of the other bond games. As for other systems, Timesplitters 2 was pretty cool, but the Halo games sort of bored me. I guess I get the feeling that if this does turn out to be a good FPS game, I won't mind that it's not an adventure game.

Goldeneye? Every Medal of Honor game? I guess you could say Doom, because they sort of started the genre, but they're not very normal. Still, I guess I don't know why they wouldn't be called normal FPSs if there was no norm to base them on.

Well, there's really a lot of FPS's out there that are pretty much the same thing, only with different levels and names for the guns. Only the fighting genre is more stagnant. It's just so... generic, often.
