Just to let you all know.  The people who made the videos aren't necessarily the people who found the glitch first, alright.

Skipping Noxus Battle/Acterra Part2 before Acterra Part1
Thread title:

You can do that with a charged missile jump from the pillar instead, its probably easier and maybe quicker.

TBJ

Yeah, I'm still skeptical about this.  It doesn't really look like a TBJ, looks more like a DBJ with just a Bomb in the middle that really doesnt do anything.  It would be beteter if you compare your DBJ against a wall (like in Subterrean where the Affinity usually is in multiplayer) with your TBJ.
Yeah I mentioned that to him earlier, it is definitely not a TBJ, which gains about twice the height of a DBJ. Instead, it is a 3BJ, which is slightly higher than a DBJ.

We know, but I haven't gotten around to recording it. I'll try tomorrow.
When I clicked on this topic, I expected speed runs. :P But oh well. I plan on getting a DS Lite in June, and soon I might get a good digital camera. If I do, I'll try to record a speed run.
I would make a complete speed run video but I dont have a tripod to keep the camera still while I play  :(
I sent the new video to Mills, and told him about the topic(Haven't seen him around recently) so I think it'll get posted tomorrow.
As per request, early Arcterra 2 (and Noxus skip and Trace skip can be found easily from this):

Since I havent really done one myself I dont know, but aren't SWs generally not valid for speed runs?

(or just flag them as using sws?)

They're not valid on SDA, at least, but you can certainly do a SW speed run if you wish (DJGrenola is doing one of Echoes right now).

I hate to nag, but I think we need some space on the site for these videos and major secret worlds and other stuff. (seems someone is even trying to do a run of good quality?) It's a little bothersome sifting through dozens of pages in "I need help" and speed trick / secret world discussion. I know not everyone likes this game but it still deserves it. :)

(Posted after going through the sticky threads looking for something)
i'll make a section if someone wants to prepare all the videos, all the descriptions and the layout. the videos need to be good enough quality that everything that is supposed to be shown is very clear.
I'll volunteer to do a couple of videos of Secret Worlds.  The Volt Drive skip video I have on youtube is the only video with my recording the DSlite.  Is the quality good enough?  I don't have the necessary wires for the audio though, so I can't really do anything with the sound except to turn it up really high.
There's a million of Secret Worlds posted on youtube already so yeah, can't we use some of those?
youtube is crap. just trust me, i really need originals from your camera. over the air audio is fine really ... i don't care so much about the audio just so long as it can be heard.
What are some compression programs I should use?  Or do you prefer if I send over a huge-ass file that only has 10 seconds of whatever.
the latter. when you have a file let me know and i'll send you torrent instructions.

If anyone wants to try a possibly better way to make videos so we can finally get this information out into the open, see this thread for the best (read: only) nintendo DS emulator available. Several versions later, it is finally able to run MPH adventure and the game is fully playable (you can even get on wifi connection with it, suprisingly)

If you have a fairly modern system with a dual core CPU (ideally, anyway) you should be able to run the game well enough to play, and run video capture software at the same time. I would do this, but i'm terrible at these tricks and such. I've used this emulator quite a bit though, so if you need help using it, you can fire off a PM to me. But it should be easy to get set up.

One word of caution though, at the normal size of the DS screens, when using the mouse to interact with the touch screen, don't forget you only need to move the mouse a very small amount to get results- You may want to set the ingame sensitivity as low as possible.
