Should this forum get an Avatar Gallery?

Hooray for animated avatars!

I can think of tons I may make if I'm not lazy. Like dancing yakuzas! WITH NEON EYES!!!!

Ooh, and there simply MUST be maru mari avatars. I'm looking in your direction, Houston.

Maybe even some kind of... avatar design contest every couple months. There'd have to be a seperate category for animated or they'd just wipe the floor with the non's.

Well, there probably won't be any contests. Nate's all busy and my lazy self sure ain't going to voulenteer. Nice thought though :?

I've gone ahead and produced a few simplistic avatars that the gallery can have. I apologise for them not being particularly great, but you're welcome to them if you want.

Uh.... uh.... hmmm......

how about you, the site admin, would have to sport that avatar for a whole month?

I like the idea :D

Edit: OOH better yet, TOOZIN would have to sport the avatar for a month! He's kinda like the boss of the forum, right? And all 400+ posts would have it. I like the idea :D

i like both of these ideas, though me "having" to sport the avatar makes it sound more like the reverse of what we want - worst avatar wins. :P

i really suggest you grab some more images from these:

Just one small recommendation.

Is it possible with PHP to make an "all" category? While separating it like how it is now is a great idea, being able to see all of them would be nice too.

yes, because i doubt anyone who hates or even has never played metal gear solid is going to look in the metal gear solid category. i know i wouldn't.

Is there a place that all of these magical avatars exist or do we have to find them in the threads? What I mean to say is, is there an actual gallery?

Go to your profile. Underneath the normal avatar options, there is a button for the gallery.

cause i went through every category twice, even though i still don't have an avatar, and i'll do it again <strike> just to smite you!</strike> when they get updated!
nah.. i just find myself curious to see how avatars look, even if i have never played the game.
and i just think it would be helpful for an "all" function, if you know you want a specific avatar, then you can get it from the personal game.

Wow, it took me a while to post here. Oh well. Anyway...

Yay! I finally have an avatar! Go Mario Bros.! :D I have a suggesstion tho; could you just put all of the Metroid avatars under one spot instead of the individual games? I think it would be better that way and not take up so much space.
