I call that and raise you a frame perfect, kind of pixel perfect shinespark to start it with:

I can't actually prove that I didn't use any tool assistance for this, you'll just have to take my word for it :P. I didn't even use a save state at the start to make retries faster, just for you, Zx. (I did practice a bit with save states before I knew if this route was even possible or not).

Yeah, you can just go one room further, and there's a longer speed strip there. I was aware this one worked too, but I didn't actually expect anyone to use it, haha.

Just use the one you'd use for the Super Missile ballspark at lower Brinstar and work your way to the top. ;)

I dunno if that one works, Thomaz, there's no slopes for a very long period up that shaft. I could make a couple others like this, I guess... and there's also one puzzle I'd kinda wanna do, but it's in very early stages of planning at this point, and I don't know how to make it happen for real yet :P

Video should be available here eventually, though the upload will take a while longer because for some reason this 33 second video is gigantic (227 MB, whereas the video of my 50:58 is only 332 MB). Clearly, I'm clueless when it comes to recording movies from emu in a video format.

Also, I can't play well on emu.
