I was just wondering if anyone else noticed that the data room in Sector 2 (TRO) was never destroyed; you can get back to it basically anytime you want. It really doesn't fit with the plotline. . .
actually, it's not too surprising apparently no one has noticed this earlier, since there are so many other plotholes in fusion to discuss. good catch, though.
You know you overplay a game when you find your self talking/complaining about little minor insignificant plotholes. Not just this NewoAvatar, I mean whne people actually make a big fuss over them and hate the game.
Nate, thats awesome. :D Ummm... you get the Speed Boost from Series(sp?) and then you go to that control room and drain the water. Then you speed boost through the bottom and get back to the elevator. Then I think you go to the fire place and get the Veria suit. Or somthing like that, I completely forget.
It's bombs...too bad you can't sequence break and get Diffusion Missiles there before fighting Nightmare (or possibly advancing the plot and hot having to fight him at all )
I mentioned this once, then somebody confirmed that the door into TRO locks after it and before Yakuza. I never thought to do the TRO trap and go through TRO to get there, though. not that I can actually do it in the first place....
Actually, any attempt at getting to that specific data room after getting the bombs will be a waste of time since Space-Jump is needed for quite a high ledge in one of the rooms on the way.
So, there never was any need for SA-X to destroy it, since the door used to get there was taken out. (Blasted into... Sludge.)
Due to it not being a plothole or anything of the kind, I didn't find a reason for posting about it earlier.
I'd like to point out that more often than not, it wasn't the SA-X destroying the data rooms. As a matter of fact, I don't think the SA-X ever destroyed a data room. And secondly, yes I overplay the games. That is what you're supposed to do with Metroid. And no, I'm not a Fusion hater and I'm not making a big fuss over it. I was just pointing it out since I hadn't seen anyone else do so.
No way, I know I put that "Not just this, NeoAvatar" fo SOME reason. And no, your not supposed to overplay Metroid games, your not supposed to overplay any game. Some people, you included, just do. Nothing wrong with it, but everything has an extent.
As a side note, this forum is becoming overrun by people from Pittsburgh. ;)

yeah, i noticed this too, a LONG time ago, I just assumed that everyone else knew
nicely done. :P
Oh, and what room do you mean? If I recall correctly, I was able to get through there without the space jump later on. I think the data room just didn't have an item at the time. I forget when this was though....
Well, you don't need the space jump to get back up to the room, it's just that the path is blocked by one of the Zero cocoons. The only reason you have to wait until after you get the space jump is so that they hatch and remove the blockage.

...Zero cocoons? I don't remember any cocoons around that could block your path....
