I wouldn't really call that a problem; it's just how Retro wanted the Arm Cannon to look at the time.

I thought they did an all right job with the arm cannon as far as having to work with the gamecube.

That's because it's a GameCube game, whereas Corruption is not.

I realize that, just sayin'.  Although the twilight areas seem to looks a bit nicer.  There were mentions that a new Wii Zelda has been in development for several years, wonder what that will be like.  I assume it will be on par graphically with MP Corruption, SMG and SSBB.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
rumors are not something pleasant.

a Wii Zelda has at most 1+ year of development. i wouldn't expect it until 2009 at the earliest.

Star Wars and Star Trek welcome you to the wonderful world of prequel Catch-22s.
Screw Attack works great against pirates, you just need a good angle and timing.

the change from 2D to 3D made the screw attack a lot less useful :/

yes the screw attack in 3D games seems to serve the same purpose as space jump did in 2D games.  It's not really a weapon anymore  :(

Very sad but Very true, I haven't even considered trying to kill a single enemy with the screw attack.  It's pointless to even try when inside, as hitting a wall/ceiling ends the screw attack..
everybody knows it's true

what is bad is forcing those controls on games that were designed for standard controllers (main reason why i got the GC version of TP later).

The Wii version is worth it simply for the fantastic Bow aiming.
point-blank aiming on GC ftw.
