Hm, It seems to me that the screw attack logo itself could easily have been from scratch as well, given the guy's ability to do geometricness judging by the wavies around the thing.
That background effect isn't hard to do in photoshop.

thanks a lot. I used an old logo for reference, but im not so sure if I traced a part of it or not. And yes the backround wasnt too tough, its just a judgement of exactly what you want it to look like. :o
You could make a lot of cool designs for the logo, I might attempt it again now that I have a bit more knowlege of photoshop.
This is pretty much what i did in my web design class. I took two web design classes, and did NOTHING but PS art. Both times I had to talk to the teacher into giving me a passing D grade.
