If you're here to flame (because I'm a ROM user from time to time), flame away... I know, I'm a loser... *Sulks*

Anyway, I'm having an issue with my sound; when I try to start up my ROM, particularly with Visual Boy Advance, I get an "Unsupported BIOS function 1f called from 080051aa" message. I'm not remarkably knowledgable about emulators and such; I just like to create movies (I will be getting a video card with input capabilities soon so I can avoid this trouble...); and without sound, it kinda ruins things. Anyone have any ideas? Sorry again for the ROM issue; I know many here are anti-emulation, and I have nothing but respect for you. :) Thanks in advance.

Well, you could have avoided saying that you had only the ROM, and you didn't really need to apologize because of issues of your ROM, but all is forgiven. I have no idea what's wrong with the sound. Did you check the recording volume options and such?
I never said I have only the ROM; I got the game itself the first day it came out! :D However, I can't record onto my computer with it, which is what I'd like to do.

Yeah, I've checked in a bunch of the options and switched a few things back and forth to see if anything changed, but no such luck. The thing is, it happens from the time I open the ROM, before I even try to start recording or anything; I get zero (no pun intended) sound and just a bunch of static noise after I close the notice box. If I can't get it to work, no biggie. I'll just have to wait to start recording for a while until I get my new video card. Thanks, though.

Anyone else have any suggestions?
Apparently, there was a separate BIOS file that I needed to integrate with the emulator. Works fine, now.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
Get the bios file.

Oops.
The latest VBA version doesn't even need the BIOS file anymore, I think. Try looking for VBA 1.71 or something like that. Otherwise, chances are your rom is corrupt, or the bios file might be needed after all :? (my roms run perfectly well without it...)
Every GBA rom I have runs fine on VBA 1.7x with no bios file.  I got the bios in order to make a Fusion replay work, and it bollocksed up all my saves.  Teh unhappy.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a replay/video/whatever of the huuuuge Shinespark Easter Egg in Fusion?  You all know the one I'm talking about.  The hard one :)

The secret message? Yes, check the Fusion section of this site.
