Why the ice beam?  There's no benefit to skipping it.  You need it eventually to kill Metroids.

Ice Beam is unskippable, you'll need to go back for it later, slows you down a bit.

yeah, then try beating it on hard with 2 energy tanks, 18 missles, and 1 super missle, then start talkin, i had to ruin my new speed rune to get another energy tank for him. (accursed grabby attack)

Nah, i just want to do something cool. I didn't say that it's a speed run. All i want to do is explore, and test things. I just will go to tourian without the Ice Beam. Maybe i will dicover a way to Kill metroids without IB. Maybe with 3 PowerBombs! (Heh, get the joke?)

Yeah, He almost killed me on my new run skipping these items after getting the Ice Beam:

-Wave beam
-Varia Suit
- High Jump
-Speed Booster

Luckily i picked up the easy super missiles and beat that fly for another 2. I had 6 supers and around 60-70 Missiles and 3 Tanks, he knocked all my E tanks out when i killed him. Supers help heaps. I shot his fire balls he shoots from his mouth when he is on ground, That helped since no varia. And after that i plugged him with missiles, Pref: supers first.
