Quote from Red Scarlet:
When people ask for routes, why X is faster/slower than Y, and such, it is easy to assume a run might be planned. It is no mystery that you were probably going to attempt a run.
You mean when he said he'd only watch your run when he's INCREDIBLY bored? (emphasis his) :o

Ya, ya, ya...I don't focus on my grammar when I'm typing off the top of my head...which is what I am doing...I don't think about what I say...and I most certainly don't think about what's supposed to go where...the ellipses should be where there are as ellipses simply because that is how I am thinking...with pauses...and I am typing the words that are in my head...even when I'm really writing/typing something up I still put the ellipses out of habit and have to go back and erase them...
We all get the purpose of the constant ellipses...but that doesn't make them desirable. A messageboard post is not a blog entry. Your last sentence should be a big flag to you that you're doing something wrong, if you need to correct your bad internet habits when writing something that counts. Not to mention the other problem of people not getting what you're saying; your annoyance at being misunderstood is laughable when you've made it clear that you're not at all interested in making an effort to be understood. If I wrote all my posts backwards, all the information would be there but it'd bloody well be my fault it was hard to read. As someone who (presumably) desires to communicate, the responsibility is yours to ensure that your writing is clear.
This thread is too popular. I started this post seven posts ago. :P
