SW in Great Tree Chamber. Wallcrawl past the ice doors in GTH. Reemter inbounds in the elevator room. Go to Phazon Mines.

Should be able to reach the Magmoor elevator too, but that one has ice doors immediately when you get into the mines, so you can't really do anything there.

The problem I have Is I can't get the elevator to load around me. I have no way to dump GTH. and when I manage to load the elevator room, I have no way to get inside of it

I'm a pretty big noob when it comes to wallcrawling, but I managed to finish a randomizer... Honestly, I had an incredible easy seed. But since that was my first contact with a GameCube Controller (not considering the first two attempts) , it was pretty hard for me... - 80% in 4:31

How difficult would it be to script the randomizer to check for parameters for each item location? for example the script asks you for certain parameters, can you wall crawl? can you ubj? etc. when the randomizer places items each location has a certain set of rules, for example for space jump the requirements are either boostball, bombs or scan dashing, therefore lets pretend the noob can't scan dash, the script will know that neither bombs nor boostball can be in place of space jump. Same goes for beams, if they are behind a series of icebeam doors then ice beam cannot be there, unless you have checked off that you can wall crawl.

paraxade, does this sound doable? do I not make any sense?

Seriously, you guys need to ask Miles about this stuff. I do not develop the randomizer, he does. That being said, yes it's doable and AFAIK it's planned for a future revision of the randomizer already. Or at least something similar to it; more likely you're just gonna be able to toggle whether required wallcrawling or required sequence breaking are allowed independently of each other.

Seriously, you guys need to ask Miles about this stuff. I do not develop the randomizer, he does. That being said, yes it's doable and AFAIK it's planned for a future revision of the randomizer already. There'll be optional restrictions once the randomizer is made always completable, yes. I don't know what extent they'll go to, though... Having an option for every single trick would be a bit overboard. It'll probably assume you're capable of doing some basic tricks.

i think there wasn't even the need to wallcrawl in it since nothing from flaahgra or floaty was necessay (i had got it at first but then i softlocked and had to reset). this one made me run around the whole game and get 90% of the items but everything was obtainable in the end (i was too tired to get the remaining 10%)

The latest Nintendont revision seems to have drastically improved load times, at least for me. Pretty much in line with Devolution's non-existent ones. Probably a good idea to keep a program like that up to date once a month or so since it receives pretty much daily updates.

EDIT: Oh nice, crediar (the lead developer of these projects) revived DIOS MIOS and it got the same load time upgrade.

The loading time on Nintendont did work pretty good for me even with the older revision, except for Sunchamber and Ore Processing which took ages (and still do)
What I don't understand is when I try to soft reset, my entire Wii crashes. Not sure why. Oh well, back to practicing IBBF...

Thanks Randomizer! Tower of Light is easy enough to load (can trigger it in middle of the tunnel from above or below), but I could not get into that tiny room. The Echoes trick of having the map on the other room and instant-unmorphing on the roof after a bomb-hop did not glitch me through the ceiling.

Echoes can be randomized without having an LZO compressor. Extract the non-MREA files without decompressing them, storing the compression flag in the txt file with the PAK file contents. Repack with the new (unpacked) MREAs/models/textures and everything else copied as before.

BTW, Nintendont requires IOS 55 in ES_Init() which is probably a bug and should be IOS 58 like it checks for (it shuts down a Wii if not present). And it only looks at one USB port after game selection, in case anyone has it halt on "Checking FS." And really doesn't work on HBC 1.0.8 whithout write locking the meta.xml file and adding <no_ios_reload />. Sigh.

You don't need a compressor at all, even with MP1. The game doesn't care whether the files are compressed or not so long as the compression flag is set correctly. PakTool can take an argument to leave everything uncompressed if you want. Miles hasn't had any issues repacking MP2 files so far by using that. In fact, we don't even need to recompress the MREAs in Echoes :P It's possible to format the files to leave everything completely uncompressed but still allow the game to read it.
