Sorry, but all I see is the overused gfx set 2, crappy door tiles, extremely questionable chozo statues and pretty much bad level design. All it was was tunnels tunnels and more tunnels that are one block wide. Kudos on going beyond what hackers would usually try though.
It's okay, however the doors, spikes and chozo statues look terrible.
I think you're overusing the elevator graphics.
its only a beta version the chozo statue are video mess up and im still working on different color sets
(this is my first hack attempt after reading the smile help.)
I also am not a fan of the new doors and you were shooting open red doors in the first video which is somewhat confusing.  The chozo statue with wave beam looked kind of interesting, but I think youtube quality is what's saving me from disliking it.  A lot of that second video was just fumbling with the grapple beam, loading the savestate was hilarious though.

You should make some videos of things that are interesting and/or different about your hack, or even just screenshots of rooms that are impressive.

Definitely has potential.  The thing that actually made me the most excited was the new beam sound.  I've also never seen the steam jets outside of Ceres station, so that was pretty cool.  Would like to see more open spaces.
I agree with Bolgnab: Tileset 2 is way overused, which means that unless it looks absolutely amazing, expect a lot of complaining by the public.

Also, making doors that look like missile doors open with regular shots = not cool. It's just confusing, and unless it's a one-time gimmick to hide an item, it just pisses players off.

All in all though, I do like your idea of using elevator tiles as other things. The palette of the elite pirate is also looking good.

Most importantly, don't be discouraged by any of us here at m2k2. Even though we bitch and moan, we'll still end up downloading the patch and trying it out when the time comes.

That's another thing that I haven't seen before, which makes it good almost by default imo.  I'd kinda like it if I got lost before getting missiles until finally shooting the red door with power beam out of frustration only to see it open and have my jaw drop.

EDIT:  I also think the fact that I don't know how to make a hack gives me a much different way of looking at new hacks.  It's almost like once you learn how to play an instrument, the music never sounds the same.  I think I would look at hacks totally differently (and not necessarily in a good way) if I knew what exactly went into creating them.
oh the red doors its a gfx miner glitch
Hated by all
Pretty much, the best thing is changing the beam sounds (how did you do that anyway?).
Fear Me! (Or else...)
I really liked the beam sounds, as well as the super hot ground. Also, the new zebite was pretty cool - how did you get it to do all of those attacks? I really liked that one. Also, I liked the chozo statue - you have a lot of potential as a graphics/palette editor. Good job overall, except for how few open spaces there were, and too many hidden areas. Try to work on your graphics a little more - it's a good job so far, but could be quite a bit better. You gotta make more of those beam sounds! lol

Btw, how did you make those videos and post them? When I try it with my zsnes, as far as I can see, it doesn't store the videos in anything that can be read by anything but the zsnes, so I can't use them anywhere else.
you have to get snesx9 then go to file then click record avi, and thats how you get videos on youtube
note: i keep hearing people ask how are the beam noises diferent well its just the emulator i used.

sorry for bad spelling

Seriously though, I think it's good, except for maybe a couple things, like the red doors being shot open regularly, but yeah, your graphics work is pretty good.
