yeah
Yesterday I was in the middle of a great speedrun (0:07 at the save room before Kraid) and I kept failing the Kraid quick kill. Getting increasingly more frustrated, I kept resetting, and after about a dozen resets (fortunately this was not single-segment lol), I find out that all my saved data got erased, including my 15% save file that was at the save room before Ridley.

The fuck.

This wouldn't be the first time this has happened to my cartridge (and my brother's cartridge, come to think of it), although it usually only happens when the SNES crashes (not murderbeam-type crashes, I mean like, pulling-the-cartridge-out-of-the-socket type crashes). Is this normal? Or is my SNES just old?

I had the same issue with my zelda 64 cart, after so many resets it apparently will loose power to the game's ram thus giving ether errored files or completely deleted files.
Annoying
At least you can still use your SNES.  Very Happy
What'd you say?

Yeah, I don't even have the power cord to mine anymore.

This has happened to me a few times on Zero Mission after a few resets (A+B+Select+Start).
