Hey whats up everyone?  Not too long ago I watched Smokey's and Scarlets speed runs of SM and it inspired me to get back into the game and just try it out for fun.  So i've been practicing all the moves and stuff but when I get to Kraid I just cant pull of the quick kill.  I've watched the video on this site and it seems like his mouth is open a lot longer on the video than it is for me.  I can get maybe 2 missles in before he starts raising up.  Is there some trick i'm not doing?  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Shoot before he growls.  That's what messes his mouth up.
