Over the past couple of months, I've been working on a hack, and decided to make some public patches/ hand out some that I found

I've got
-A patch that completely removes the map (no graphics are changed)
-A patch preventing shinespark damage
-A suit (color)changing patch, making the suits closer to that of metroid prime's.(This patch also changes
the door tiles, and expansion graphics.Thank you Drewseph for your AWESOME door/expansion/gravity
suit.)this patch includes the shinespark patch already.
all patches are for unheadered roms accept for the suit patch, which I'm making an unheadered version

EDIT: Suit patch also includes the super smash bros. brawl morph ball

One thing I have to say about your MP-Palette patch, awesome. I wish you could've made E-Tanks flashing purple and blue.

I was going to create a universal thread for stuff like this a few days ago, but then I remembered www.romhacking.net.

Anyways, I like the hacks. The suit! It be out for BLOOD! ;)

This thread sorta piqued my interest until I looked at the patches you're offering. The shinespark one is based on three GG codes by the GGCCC which I compiled into a patch. The map one is mine as well. It doesn't matter if I released my patches publicly, that doesn't make them your work, it just makes them freely available. I appreciate that you kept the filenames the same though. At least it was that much easier to verify that they were mine.

I appreciate the spirit in which you've given these patches out, as narcissistic as it may be. I encourage you to try out my patches and reverse engineer them; figure out how they work, that way you can bring something to the table other than a pallet change or two.

If you cited the website where you got these, I'd be perfectly happy. Consider this a lesson in netiquette.

Edit: I appended an explanation to the IPS section of my site. Hopefully it'll help me out.

I really don't see much of a difference in the suit other than the change in the morphball appearance.  Am I missing something?

I'm doing the same thing too. I'm gonna mix the suit patch with my next hack called Super Metroid RBO Insane Edition. I think you gonna like this hack for sure.

The Deathtroids patch changes the Metroids (the actual enemies) into Deathtroids, basically harder versions I made, they have faster accelleration and are harder to dodge.

Cool. Currently, I'm working on making a patch for training. I give you almost all the items first, then you just get to play in one room that has good spots for wall jumping, speed boosting, ect. I give you all the beams, and all the suits, an energy tank, the bombs, spring ball, and I attempt to give you the morphing ball. So far, though, it won't let me give you the morphing ball. It says it does, but then it doesn't actually add it to your items. I'll ask about that on the SMILE help line, though. Just mentioning it here.

Edit: nvm, I fixed the Morphing Ball. My patch it just about ready to apply. Anybody interested in trying it out? I'll email it to you.

Ok, I just finished the patch. I redid it, since for some reason, every time I closed SMILE, it deleted it, but it started working again. Now, you get all the items, you can test wall jumping, ball jumping, etc., and then you go right one screen... to fight Kraid. Then you go right another screen... to fight Phantoon, to a turn-around room, to Draygon, to Ridley, to another turn-around room, to Kraid again. The bosses' second state is set on a condition so that it never comes, so they'll always be there, until you die. Enjoy this patch! I'll be putting it up on our site very soon, which is located at http://sites.google.com/site/smhackteam/
Bioniclegenius, I like the training patch, and especially like the "boss rush" concept.
and the nameless hack...you get spring ball if you put down a morph ball in a chozo orb.
also, how did you change the beam color?!

Thanks. This is the first actual comment about the hack. About the nameless hack, that's the fullhack we're working on as a group. it's nowhere near completed, and what is edited there was an accident when SMILE messed up and carried it over from a previous version of the training hack. The springball looking like a morphball is an glitch. The beam color, go into the beauty salon, and under the suit, there's a bar. Drag that all the way to the right, and go to the 'I'm a genius' section. Then, put in the codes $843E1 | 4F, and those are the beam palettes, top down it's regular, ice, wave, plasma, spazer. The beam being red was me testing it out, and not knowing what it was originally lol -). Also, tell me if you find any glitches with this. I'm not sure about the turn-around rooms, and I couldn't get past Ridley to test out the second turn around room. So, if anybody gets there, please tell me if there's anything wrong with it, and send a screenshot. I need to take a look at it...

Edit: Never mind, I beat Ridley (must have been a fluke when I lost, b/c I went through several times and beat him every time with at least half of my energy still intact...), and the room wasn't working. I fixed the door destination, so it's working now... unfortunately, the turn around rooms glitch up, so I don't know how to fix that. Anyways, I fixed the turn around room, so you'll need to re-download it, and I think I also fixed the Kraid glitch, so he'll show up again after you've killed him once this time, i think...
