Thats might be interested see some hard mode any-% runs in future. I did several years ago my PB 35:52 used Ridley first route and my own expansion collection route. I was thinking Kraid first route is faster on hard mode but im not handled that HBJ over acid pool. So rildey first was only choice for me. Fact is you need more expansions on hard mode and ajbolt89 34:00 is really outdated speedrun i think this route is changed quite bit after this. Which started are good hardmode time a today? I think you new guys are so awesome and i think 31.xx is definitely possible. I think hard mode is also better make segmented because luck in Tourian is really helpful. Thats enought painful even on normal mode.

But what ever this is nice time Kirby especially on SS category. Its might be cool see how much your time could be lower in future.

I think with all the interest towards Hard-mode at this moment, it should be added to the leaderboards. A bunch of people have finished a Hard-mode any%, so, why not I guess?

**** HBJ though. **** hard mode with it, although 100% is still kinda cool :P

yeah, kraid first is definitely faster in any% hard. I end with 38 missiles and 6 supers. You need EVERY SINGLE missile <_<

though there are two more missile tanks I can pick up that'll help; it'll give me more leeway for ridley (with my current route, if i'm full on missiles/supers by unknown item, i have to hit with every missile+super except one missile)

I am pretty sure that sub 30 is possible. I just got 32:17, but with my save 31:4x should be easily possible. I just played it safe to get a completion though, my last segment is pretty bad even compared to the rest of my run.

Any% hard is quite unlike any of the other categories. It's interesting. 100% hard is just like a gimped normal 100% really =(.

33:39 any% hard ss. I think I can get sub 32 if I have a good run. This wasn't too bad though. On that note, I get 32/6 instead of 36/6 Kirby. Item collection was 37%. I wouldn't go much lower for ss, but I think that 32/6 is very doable.

worst PB of my life. I played the best I've ever done for most of it, but lost huge chunks of time to two or three individual mistakes.

You should let sam bully you more often. :P I think my favorite part of your run was when you accidentally entered the save room during suitless after successfully doing sam's stealth strat. Congrats on your PB. (It was 42:37 RTA, right?)

Thanks! It was cool to have you around in chat. Yeah, it was 42:36 or :37 depending on how generous you're feeling with your rounding. Given the quality of certain parts of that run I want to at least get sub 42 at some point.

Finished Kraid first; got early Varia Suit and Screw Attack, used my own method for getting the latter.

Playing through hard mode for the first time. I got the Varia Suit early using bomb jumps and I had 2 energy left after getting it., lol. I was lucky.

If you plan on improving your time, I recommend watching an any% speed run. Though you don't have to follow every little trick and optimization, you should definitely follow the general route (Ridley First, get hi jump etc etc etc). Acid Worm Skip with power grip isn't too bad with some practice.

Yay!! Got my first sub-50 on a normal any% run!

Time is 47:46 & 33% collection rate on normal. I did acid worm just so I could get a run in & see what my time would be. I'll be practicing the power grip trick in Kraid so I can skip it next time. Do any of you have any advice for it? I practiced a little bit already, since it was a segmented run on my DS, but I can't seem to get it down too well.

I did some very approximate savestate runs using the debug menu recently (I had some train journeys to fill)

100% (RTA route) - 50:57 - well at least now I believe it's "possible"

any% - 27:25 - I went a little overboard manipulating RNG in tourian

fraud% - 3:47 - I will never reclaim fraud% wr from zx :(
