I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)

It would screw him up, he's used to Hard mode, not Normal/Easy mode. Happens to me too when I play the game from time to time.

Heh, I rarely play hard mode, I find it to be almost exactly like normal difficulty wise just with more enemies, so I stick with normal.

I never tried SS any%, but I plan to try to beat 1:05 in an SS normal 100%. wish me luck :D

Why will I need it badly? I got 1:08:34 with a horrendous route mistake, being fixed, that could save 1.5 minutes off my time, and who knows how much time can be saved by skipping the long beam until you're going to Tourain. And best of all, that run wasn't a single segment!

SS runs aren't always faster, if you mess up you can't just start the segment over, you have to keep going straight to the end.

so true - my 31:14 SS any% was derailed by rinkas not giving me a super missile, followed by me missing mother brain with said super missile. that run is 30:xx otherwise.

oh, I did my first serious 100% normal run today and got 1:04:28. DD's SS 100% run is sick.

I SWEAR they are, to kill ANY% speed runners. In 100%,you have enough missiles to kill all the metroids, the zebetites, and mother brain's case and herself without any refills.

Let's see how "faked" my time is when someone beats it then. Coming to think of that I had a sucky Metroid segment and blew 2 Super missiles in the wall at Mother brain.

Actually, Ekard specifically accused him of flat out lying and/or emuraping. (I said something myself, too, but I was perhaps too hasty. I don't keep track of the bleeding edge, it was a rather big jump from the current record (and I hadn't noticed anything happen in ZM since then), and I trusted Ekard's judgements on what is and isn't possible.)

I took it down so that you would stop complaining and accuse me for lying. Even so, let's now stop this, and hope someone does a SS <29:10 so you would start believing me.

And btw, it was the 10th try that day. The 29:11.

here's the thing: two days or something before, you were claiming to have done 35 minutes. you simply don't go from a 35 minute run to a 29:11 single segment - it took me weeks to go from 33 minutes to 31 minutes, then weeks more to go to 30 minutes, and then even longer to get to 29. then, to prove it, you throw up a VBA screenshot and claim you did it on an SP.

if you actually did do 29:11 legitimately, then congrats and I hope you can record it; after all, you said you made some mistakes, right? you should be able to do a SS 28:xx then. I (and others, I'm sure) look forward to the video you make of it.

for the record: according to nintendo.com's tracking service, a game boy player disc will be arriving at my house on april 6th, and then I should be able to record. I have no idea if my roommate's vcr works or if my friend's gamecube still works, but I'll be finding out. so hopefully next weekend I can do an any% single segment, send it off to nate, and maybe in two weeks we can have some new ZM video love.

Did I say that the 35 min was made that day? Well, I look forward to seeing your runs, as my runs aren't pretty at all.

And also, I said I was very lucky with my run, and even if I can redo the mistakes I did in that one, I would never be able to succeed in doing a run this fast again, since I most likely would fail in other places.

Btw, VBA = Virtual boy advance?

I've played the game through 2 times with that program, 1 was a 1:30 hard 100% tried new stuff, and the other was a 1:09 normal 9%, never done something like this before.

And btw, I pick up the long beam, I think it should save a couple of seconds.
