they make us parallel park, which isnt that hard.

Yeah, but you rarely every HAVE to do it in a real situation (and rarely in a twenty-foot space), unless you live in the city.

well, technically i DO live in a "city"... if you call 14,000 people a city :P (10,000 is called a city, i suppose... but it isnt very big).
not nececarilly(spl?). like my town has about 7,000 people, but it's refered to as a city. i think it has something to do with elected officials or something, quote some guy on another forum.

Don't think there's any definite definiton (though, ten thousand sounds about right). It's just a large and densly populated area.

Most towns are generally referred to as cities, such as Westminster, a "city" near me, but they're not actual cities. They're just large towns.
Mister ...
Lacey WA has ~35,000, give or take. but, it's not that big, or, if it is big, not all that developed.  We've kind've got a bunch of small businesses, but not a whole lot.  Probably about 50% residential : 50% Business.

As long as we have like Pizza Hut, Burger King, Etc.  I don't care.  However, if I go down south to like Vancouver WA, there's no BK's anywhere.  I go down there, and that's all I ever want to eat. Amazing how different cities in the same state can be.

A city is densely populated. If you have thirty-five thousand people, but if it doesn't seem big, then I wouldn't classify it as a city. For the most part, if it's not on a map of the whole U.S., it's not a city.

But yeah, I agree that certain cities are completely different from others. I've been to New York, Baltimore, New Orleans, Denver, and Vegas, each of which are nothing like the last.

o_O

if you refresh the page a couple of times, it says "Coldplay loves the house of sabres" (house of sabres is our school store). thats proof on how lousy our school is. :P

its somewhere in the student pictures thing... some people dont appear at all, and some people appear like, 3 times in a row. o_O
Mister ...
You want to know about a lousy school?
Timberline High School, home of the Blazers
The school mascot, in short, is some crazed woodsman with an axe
We're finally getting our school remodeled after 30 years, which is sad because other schools which were built in the 80's got their remodeling done recently, but THS needed the remodeling done like 5 years after it was built.  too many false walls, or depending on the section of the school, not enough walls.  Only thing that determines classrooms in the Language arts (reading/writing) hall are office space dividers.  Only like 1 or 2 teachers have walls all the way around.  It's ... pathetic.
sounds like legacy open classroom stuff. go fads in education.
Mister ...
Trust me, if you went to T-Line, you'd think differently... something like "is this a school or the local dump?"  It really is that bad.

Oh, one day my 5th period science class was kicked into the Sci. Lab because the next door math class was in our room.  Apparently their Ceiling lights had become swimming pools.  Go crappy 30 yr old construction!
red chamber dream
My elementary school had a bunch of those openable walls and shit. I hated that - just build a big room if you want a big room. It was a brand new school when I went, so I guess that kind of thing is still being done.
my school ain't the local dump, but we have gangs...boy do we have gangs. and gang fights. good fun to watch.
red chamber dream
So ... you're saying it IS the local dump, then? >_>
nah, the local dump is probably way more boring than that.
yeah, sure. i guess. Rolling Eyes

gangfights are fun to watch. 'specially when the police get involved. then i get to see idiots get owned by police with riot armor and nightsticks. speaking of nightsticks, my dad's a cop, so i have one. go me.

Man, Chicago schools have a lot of gangs and fights and crap. Good thing I live in the suburbs. The bad thing about the suburbs, though, is that there are a bunch of "wannabe gansters", who think they're cool and pretend they're in gangs. Theres still plently of drugs, though.
My previous school couldn't, and can't, afford paper. :|
