Saber, do you exist in a perpetual state of needs a haircut, or is that just the only state in which you're photographed?

Actually, I know the answer to that now, but the comment stands.

From what I can see, it looks like a small dog.

Well yes he's small compared to some other dogs, but for his breed he's rather large.

Heh, finally someone gets it (nate doesn't count).
yeah i'm slow...er, um, forget i said that. seriously.
Mister ...
YES! Someone I can relate with! I'm not alone! YAY!!!
Ok, I'm done.  Don't worry, I'm not that great looking either.  Pretty much the reason I haven't posted my Pic yet.
be brave, young nn12000, be brave...at least you probably have a driver's license. i'm still lacking in that department. Rolling Eyes
Mister ...
nope, just a permit.  I need to get my 50+ hours of driving in and wait til august.  The second will probably happen first.  I'm not brave enough yet to handle the roads.  I probably could've survived w/out my permit.  I just wanted bragging rights, I guess.
yeah, my older brother essentiallly did the same thing. i have my permit, and i use it a lot. but highways are...*shudders*

at least you guys can get your full drivers' at 16 in the states... i have my "learners". its awful. when you pass the written test, you can go get it the next day, but you have to wait 9 months for your driving test, and until then, you can only drive if a person who has had their full drivers' for over 3 years is in the front seat with you. :|

my birthday was the cutoff date for that session, so i got lucky in that department. :P

in reference to Ark's statement, if you look between MC's legs... :|

Edit: the reason i havent posted a picture of me (though there are probably a couple on the INTERNETS!!) is because i dont feel like it, i dont have a photo convertormajigger on this computer that would work with a digital camera, i dont have a webcam, and because i look ugly. :P

No, you cannot get your full driver's licence at sixteen in the states. At least, not in most states (I think you might be able to in Montana or some other place in the Northwest). We have nearly the exact same system as you do. Here, you get your learner's permit (LP) at fifteen and nine months by taking a written test. You must have it for six months, during which you can only drive with an adult in the front seat who's had a full licence for over three years. Have to drive with said adult(s) for sixty hours and log those hours, as well. Once the six months is up, you can get a provisional driver's licence (PDL) by passing the "road" test. Then, you must have your PDL for eighteen months before you can get a full driver's licence (DL). If you get a moving violation (pretty much any ticket), the eighteen months start over. Therefore, you must be eighteen to get your full driver's licence in most states.
Also, you can't drive anyone under eighteen on a PDL until you've had it for five months. Can't use a cell phone during the first five, either.

But it's worth it.

k, then yeah. we do have the exact same thing... except we dont have to log 60 hours of driving.
Mister ...
The requirements for a license are this in WA
-Must be at least 16
-Must've had your permit for at least 6 months
-Must have at least 50 hours of driving time done, 10 of which are at night.
-No accidents or tickets or anything like that.

When you have a permit here, you have to drive with someone whose had their license for at least 5 years, and that person must be riding shotgun (or front passenger, whichever you prefer).

So yeah.  Depends where you live in the world.  My parents are trying something for me to get me some practice time, drive to my aunt and uncles (1 1/2 hours on the freeway).  They're making me drive on a highway when I'm barely used to the road.  I think I have like 3 hours of practice, 2 of which I got from driving school.

That's pretty close to what we have here, cool. I know that in Montana, you can get a learner's at fourteen. o_O

Heh, the driving log program is a joke. I got about forty hours, if that of driving and made up the rest - I don't think anyone, at least around here, actually gets all their hours. The whole process of getting a licence was hilarious to me, because everything you have to do is either completely unnecessary or just asinine, such as the "road" test, which doesn't take place on the road and doesn't test any skills you will ever use (except, perhaps, backing up).

Yeah, but you rarely every HAVE to do it in a real situation (and rarely in a twenty-foot space), unless you live in the city.
