I read on a wiki that as the game goes on, the PED suit changes in appearance, and that on the scan visor reflection later in the game, veins are visible on her face and her eyes are a different colour. Lo and behold, there were veins, so i have no reason to doubt that the PED suit changes appearance. So, does anyone have any pictures of this progression?

After defeating Mogenar, the visor turns blue and blue markings are seen on the back of the suit.  After Helios, I forget, but something else happens.    After Omega Ridley, nearly the entire suit appears Phazon-blue, beginning to resemble Dark Samus's Phazon Suit.
Thanks, I'll have to check that out.

It starts out like this, and in the end it's like this.

LOL, someone's using a link to my avatar again!
The second once is not the best exaple since hypermode makes her look more phazon-ish.
btw, who thinks phazon looks better in Prime 1?

Well, the phazon in prime 1 was mostly ore, which crackled and had growths, and the stuff in corruption is liquid phazon. I did like the phazon ore though.

I loved how samus' visor turned blue after mogenar. The progression of the PED in general was awesome.
I like how phazon permeated pretty much everything in the lower phazon mines, instead of only appearing in pretty pure forms like in MP3
hmm.
did anyone mention that far into the game, if you see a reflection of samus's face in her visor, you can see phazon on her face?
...
Yes, I remember that.  I think that happens after Omega Ridley.  You can see it clearly on Phaaze.
Yo.
Hell, you can see evidence of corruption on her face when she first has the PED suit. Becomes more obvious throughout the game's events. The Scan Visor is best for seeing this...
Screenshots would be nice... (a friend has my copy of Corruption :P)
Screenshots? I like screenshots!

Those are NICE.
I agree.

Could you do the morph ball as well please?
You'll have to excuse a slight visual error in the last two screens: there's a subset on the Hazard Shield parts of the ball that pulse a turquoise-coloured ray that should be blended, but isn't.

I'd have to say that PED #3 is probably my favorite out of all of them. The colors blend nicely at that state, it doesn't have the bulky shoulders that feel tacked on to me (Where the Varia Suit shoulders feel like a natural part of the suit), and probably because it is involved with the Hazard Shield skip in that it stays around longer.  Wink
Metroid Prime, what else?

agreed! retro made a great job with these.

@Metroid Menace: do you have pics of samus' corrupted face? :D
I had to quickly write support for material subsets since I never bothered to support them. Her visor-reflection face uses only one model with multiple material subsets, so this was needed

It's a little creepy that her whole face turns blue after Omega Ridley.
Woah that's weird.

And oddly quick to heal, considering she's fine at the end on Elysia.
huh lol, I never really thought they'd do it that way. I thought it was just like a flat picture they billboarded in. Kind of interesting though it is way darker than I expected.
We need more in-game model rips from MP3.
It's a little difficult to get rips in game unless you have a lot of time to spend meddling with the uncooperative emulators...
Unless you meant simply rips in general. I have lots of those.
