PB Pirate

I do believe it is possible to kill the pirate who carries away the first power bomb tank. The last time you see him holding it, you're in a morph tunnel above him, but theres room to stand, so you should be able to shoot him before he goes through the door. Ive tried jumping and shooting, but i cant press B fast enough to kill him before the transition into the room above you. Can anyone think of a way to do this?

naw, i would think he would be coded to be invincible, personally. i can't even imagine how this would help you as the power bombs are a novelty in any and low % games. and you head down there in 100% games.

well same though i had with Sa-X incounters i acctually shine spraked him and i either went though or got dammaged by him.

So he is coded invinsible untill you get Wave beam so any of this even if it happends i high doubt it will do any good.

Edit: forgot the Wassup Dawgs beat me to it.. :/

About the pirate, im almost positive it cant be done, because i dont think you can shoot down as you fall in, if you jump at all youll go to the winding tunnel, and if you try to angle to shoot him it will just miss him. (Pirate -> :P ) dang missed him. We can just pretend he becomes one of the other pirates and we kill him then. ("Us"-> :P )

I'm 99% sure you can't kill the pirate, because he is invisible.

No, i saw him quite clearly, so i choose to believe you meant invincible. In that case, im going to go ahead and go with you guys on this. Unless someone actually does it, theres nothing more to discuss.

The pirate isn't invincible, though anything you fire at it will go right through it, even Samus herself. (The Power Bomb that the pirate steals in the first place is exactly the same way.)

Basically. Using cheat codes to get into Chozodia with the suit, I tried to shoot him the first time you see him with the Wave Beam. It passes right through him.

Oh well. Is there a way to hack the game on an emu to get the suit in Chozodia and make the pirate not turn up?

Why? to get the PB he carries off? It probably doesn't exist.

Think of it like this: You want to get the Power Bomb that's on the Chozo's crotch, yes? You can see it from below when you enter from the bottom door. However, going in either top door would load the room with the PB missing, as it is to be carried off by Mr. Pirate. So even if it were real, you'd need a pass through walls code to get it by entering from below and going through the floor.

Or you could find a way to make the game load the proper room state so that it has the PB in it.

So basically if you were to collect said PB tank and get all the others as well, you'd get 101% items, correct?

If that PB tank is an actual tank and not a sprite, then yes.

I am 99.9% sure it is not there and just a sprite. The programmers never intended you to get it there so they didn't bother making it an object. Here's an example: you know that PB tank in the landing site in Crateria? If you use cheats to get early Power Bombs, and try to get it before Chozodia, you just pass through it. It isn't actually there, because they didn't intend that you get it before Chozodia, because you have no PBs before Chozodia. So no, you cannot get the Pirate PB, and you cannot get 101%.

Oh well. 101% in MP2E is all we're gonna get by the looks of it.
