It is an idiotic decision.

But no, if it is possible to add my suggestion, it would be for the better. The controller is still too limited for many ideas. The games are designed with this limitation in mind. That is the main reason why you think the way you think. In shooters some developers even trade aim-down-the-sight vs melee only because they don't have an opportunity to offer both at once. Not every game requiring both thumbsticks has to be a regular shooter. There can be mechanics with more depth to them.

The people who think Metroid Prime is a great game won't understand my message. Tbob is the best example, simply because he doesn't want games, he only wants to enjoy certain experience. There is everything wrong with Metroid Prime in gameplay-department. It is an incredibly low-level-gameplay game, it can hardly be called a game at all because there is nothing to play.

Pretty likely Super Metroid is of more interest than Prime here. Also even certain mods are no metroid fans at all, at least not by this time anymore.
