I'm finnaly getting the original Metroid for NES..and i can't wait 'till monday to play it...also,monday,the metroid prime i bought from a friend of mine who is in Madeira(it's like...let's say...an Island that's part of Portugal) will arrive too...
oh gosh...i think i'm gonna cum xD

Which one do you guys advise me to play first?

I think i'll start with the NES one, cause I just Love the Crappy graphics and playbility...
and also, last week I downloaded the BSO for the NES game and,it may sound weird, but 8-bit music is so amazing xD

Hugs and Kisses...

Would probably be cool to start with the original Metroid, just to see how far we've come with Prime. Prime is definitely the better game, though.

I don't really know why you wouldn't have just played the NES Metroid on an emulator at this point, but hey, you're not breaking any laws at least. Playing it on the console was such a bitch, though to be fair I was born the year it came out. (Yeah, who'd have thought that "86" is for my YoB? Durh-hurh.)

Anyway I would play it until you through the control away in frustration, then play Prime and be a happy camper. But maybe you're better at the NES than I am.

2002 isn't Metroid2002's year of birth. :^P
Annoying
Why don't you sell that piece of crap and buy MZM? That way you can play an extremely awsome remix of the origonal title, than unlock the real origonal and play it on a better controller.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Because playing Metroid an actual NES is the only way to get the true experience.

There's something fulfilling about playing the original the way it was intended.

I don't see how that could possibly make a difference at all. You're still using the GameCube controller and playing the actual console game.

I found this mildly disturbing.

I found you mildly disturbing in bed.

There, one-upping the highschoolery. Easier done than said, and that's not true for much!

A shame you can't use the Wiimote for MP1's original Metroid. Not the motion sensing, mind you, I'm referring to the dpad-oldschool style controls.

Now the title makes sense to me. XD
I seriously could not play Metroid and beat it with no help.

the darn thing was so confusing.
I got a power-up and then didn't know where to go X_x
so I just cheated and put a password that gave me infinite ammo and just went to look for kraid and ridley >_>
I was still very happy that I beat it xD

I recommend playing prime first, it was my first metroid game.
Then if you have fusion you can unlock Metroid in prime xD

but it's up to you really.

-Metroid's kinda sq'ished in ZM.
-Playing it on Prime feels kinda weird (though at least you can use Y/A for similar button config.).
-What?!  The VC doesn't use Wiimote control?!  What the Norfair, man?!

...?!?!?!?!?!, for emphasis
No, no, no. You should have said, "That's nor-fair!"
