I think I got speedbooster early in Dependence, and my whole game seems chaotic now. I wish I got it at normal sequence, because I don't know where I should and shouldn't go... :( So where do I go agter gravity?
If you've killed Kraid (I assume you have), then head back to Blue Brinstar where you got the first missiles and a secret passage will lead you to a new area.
Do you refer to the Tourian-looking area accessible with gravity and speedbooster?

found the power bombs yesterday. But going back, to open all yellow doors is very annoying ;) any hint, where i have to search?
2 key items held by chozos in the Dark Gardens (neither behind PB doors  :-D) - one in the floor in a room near the ship and the other held by a protective chozo near a very dark room.
2 key items in the Tetra Ruins (both behind PB doors, but both require more than just PBs to enter as well)

thx for the nice hints, I will look for them, as soon as i come home ;)
BT, I utterly destroyed your game.  I'm sorry.  Take a look below...  vvv

I somehow managed to pull a MASSIVE sequence-break and get Gravity Suit early.  Here's how it works.
The earliest you can get Gravity is after getting Power Bombs, because you need them to even get to Gravity's room.  In the room right of Gravity, I managed to use insane morphball-bomb-jumping-over-crumble-block skills to get to the door.

I rushed into the Gravity room, grabbed the suit and fought Golden Torizo.  THAT WAS HARD.  I managed to finish him off with only 06 health remaining, no reserves and not enough ammo for a CF.  Yet I beat him and got out.

I'm currently breaking the rest of the game.  Seeing how late you get Gravity Suit in the game, it's going to be fun grabbing items early.  I already got Spring Ball (much easier of course).  I also got a bunch of other items using a combo of Shinesparking and IBJing.

I felt like you should know. :D
Ok, I killed Draygon, now where do I go?

You'll find Space Jump to the east and Mother Brain is now accessible.

BTW, I never found the Screw Attack or Plasma, could someone post their area locations?

One room away from where you entered Proto-Tourian, there's a suspicious "pipe bridge" thats connecting two rooms. You can't see the ceiling or the floor in that room, so obviously Power Bombing it would be appropriate.

Well, I pretty much knew you didn't need the spring ball or hi jump boots to get there. It's just pretty difficult to bomb and push at the exact right times so that you can get over the crumble blocks. I did it a few times while playtesting because I hadn't placed the spring ball and didn't have the room set up for it yet. You can even beat the whole game without the Gravity suit if you want, although it's quite difficult. The middlegame key item order is sort of loose and nonlinear if you go through some trouble to do it out of order. Just like beating Gold Torizo without the spazer - it's certainly possible, as you've demonstrated, just pretty difficult.

In GD I assume? The screw attack is in one of the bridges that connect High Command and the Sky Temple. It's hidden in a sort of maze of pipes. The Plasma is to the far left in High Command. You pretty much need the Screw attack first to get to it.
I was hoping you be a little more o_O about my SB.  laugh new

Did you find the third entrance to Norfair in a pipe in the West Brinstar elevator room? Lower Norfair is down there and it leads to Ridley and the SJ. It may look like there's a dead end down there, but the speed booster will let you get through.

Well, I was o_O when I found out that the Plasma and screw attack were skippable, because I didn't really expect that. For a lot of other items I had to take into account the possible points people could get stuck if they sequence broke, so I had to sort of anticipate a lot of the most insane seq. breaks in planning.

Yay

I beat Dependence 5:35 93%
I notice everyone tends to finish Dependence with high percentages  :|
Maybe you could pull off an impossible-style xray. That would lower the percentage, I think... :)
Well, I think its just there's not too many items that are hidden in an insanely devious manner in Dependence, like ones in semiunobvious walls (the ones that are hidden that way are probably the ones people miss). It'd be a little too late to revise it now  laugh new The average percentage is lower for GD though, since that was one of the things I was working towards. For GD it seems to be closer to the normal item collection % for a first time playthrough of the regular SM.

Sup everyone,
I was wondering if you guys could help me out.Im trapped in the area pictured on black telomeres's post on page 14.I made my way from the bottom left all the way to the upper left/middle trying to get to the uppermost left door but I couldnt get to the door because of crumble blocks. And the door below it is silver and so I cant go thru it.And now I cant go back because of crumble blocks plus I saved on my one savestate.Does anyone know a way to get out of there??,I',m playing the hardmode version.I have the following items:normal missles, super missles, grappling beam, ice beam, varia suit, morphing ball, bomb, and speed booster,Any Help is appreciated,Thanks.
You can't get to the upper doors yet unless you've gotten Gravity Suit.  That, and you can only do anything up there much later on in the game.

To get out of there, look on the right side and shoot the purple blocks.  They should break away and you'll ind some crumble blocks to fall through, back to the bottom of the room.
O man ,I think im really trapped.I cant even get to the right side, Im on the far left below the top door.I've tried shooting/bombing everywhere for like an hour now,I guess I wasnt intended to make it up here yet....Looks like im going to have to restart the game....,Thanks for the help anyways.
Don't restart, there has to be a way out.  Take the picture that BT posted, and draw on it where you are.  Maybe I can direct you that way.

Thanks anyway man,but I already restarted...I think I was definitely trapped though. The process in which I made my way over to the area didnt seem like it was meant to be...I IBJ in one part and also somehow managed to roll over some crumble blocks before I fell thru and I'm guessing those where there to prevent the player from reaching the area early on.And the only way out the area seemed to be from the silver ground door which I'm guessing is only passable later in the game...

Here's a link to the area im talking about.I've edited it with my crappy paint skillz so maybe you guys get a better understanding where I got stuck  : (
Yeah, I think you were definitely trapped.  I didn't realize you were that far up.  Too bad you had to restart.  Remember, keep multiple savestates if you're unsure if you should be going the way you are. :)
Oh boy, that appears to be a bug just introduced in the hardmode ver. I didn't take into account that way that you could get stuck in there since I changed that room subtly to disallow you from going up through the door to the left since there's a new item up there. I didn't notice I forgot to add crumble blocks to the bottommost metal pipe in that area. Sorry about that.

Anyway, I made the fix:
