west Underworld. If you have the grapple beam you can obtain Supers. There's that place in Dark Gardens with grapple blocks above crumble blocks and there's a door down from there, that's where you are to head.

I haven't found the Super Missles upgrade yet.  These would be around...  roughly where?

To be honest, this is the first hack I've ever beaten. It starts off very annoying, but once you get into it, it becomes very fun.

I like how you made the bosses more of a challenge, although you can still use the grapple-kill for Draygon...

All in all, though, this hack was well worth the time I spent playing it.
When I hear "Underworld" I think of Norfair.  But when I hear "Dark Gardens" I think of Brinstar (because of the plants).  :?

Anyway...

The farthest room that I can get to -that is in the west underworld (norfair)- is a room with a Super Missle door and a bunch of red spheres on that west/left most wall.  I have a feeling I past where the Super Missles should be.  Maybe I totally missed the room with the Grapple and Crumble blocks.

I do have the Grapple Beam.

I actually don't quite get what room you're in by that description. Red spheres? All I can tell you is, you can't really pass up the Super Missiles, since the room they're in has a super missile door that prevents you from progressing further unless you pick them up.

If you never got into the section of the Dark Gardens that has the grapple/crumble blocks in a horizontal row, then you must not be in the right section of the Underworld, since that's basically the only way to get there. Are you in the 5 room long portion of the Underworld where you got the grapple or the main section? Perhaps a map screenshot would help?

Oh lordy. I think I just realized how you were able to do that as well. I never thought Draygon would react like that to even regular grapple blocks and I never tried it either. Eek. I wonder how many people were able to do this
The screen shot is what I meant by Red Spheres.  Since, again, this is what I think of when I hear "UnderWorld" and this is as far 'West' as I can possibly get.

But the place that you describe as having Grapple/Crumble Blocks....  That's the Dark Gardens?  It eventually leads to...

Spore Spawn.  Correct?

I've been through there.  But I would think of that as East and not West.  Is there some other place with Crumbling Grapple blocks?

What I thought (Tonski?) meant was Grapple Blocks on the ceiling, and crumble blocks on or near the floor.

I'm obviously L-O-S-T.  :(  I need to be way back over where those 2 mocktroids were...  In that general vicinity.  Right?  That's the only place I recall seeing ANY crumbling grapple blocks.
Oh my. I thought something was off about what you were saying. You're playing Dependence, not Golden Dawn. :) I was just assuming everyone here was playing GD.

That's why the Area names aren't matching up for you, but I couldn't decipher it just from the comments on them.

Anyway, you need to go up out of Norfair, over to the place where you saw the mochtroids and then up an elevator and to the Wrecked ship to get to the super missiles.
When I clicked on the link in the 1st post I didn't let the pic load.  I also had a little voice in my head that would tell me 'That's not the right one.'  But another voice in my head would say 'Whattya mean?  Of course it's the right one.  It was in the link wasn't it?'  Then the other voice is like... 'Oh, okay.  Shut'n up.'

That was some fun times. I did indeed find the easy kill for Draygon (that would have been a nightmare battle otherwise!). Finding Mother Brain's room was kind of a surprise, and the escape was AWESOME. Shame you can't save the animals...
Here's what I did when I dled this hack:

Download
Opened it in zsnes
realized i was stupid
tried to IPS patch it onto a ROM
didn't show Golden Dawn as an option.

help? Also, is it supposed to be in .rar? All the others I have are in ips format. Sorry if I'm not very computer savvy Embarassed
You need a program to open the rar file to extract the IPS. Google for Winrar or Unrar or something of the sort. Then once you get the ips, you can patch it as normal. It's unusual you haven't run into a hack that's been rared before though, as most of the main ones are.
I haven't run into this problem before, and I've played all major hacks except impossible.
I like Big Butts and I can not lie
A RAR file is just like a ZIP file, or a TAR file. You have to open it with a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip
Just got morph ballbombs and sequence breaked to get 40 missiles...

Now I'm stuck...I think I must do something in Dark Gardens?
This is the portion where the dual bridges hints that I've been mentioning come into play. Find them in the upper portion of Dark Gardens and one of them obviously has a secret behind it.

I have no comment for this post, as it does not apply to this hack only. And of course the eye doors can be killed by 3 regular missles.
I'm kind of happy because I found grapple beam without reading the spoilers...(even for the block)

Just wondering, is this the right location?

Not without the Varia it isn't  grin new
uh oh...time  for some random exploration... #-o

Actually, the Varia is not that hard to find.

Go back to the green bridge you passed by on the way to Bombs, but instead of going through the door at the top, try to Bomb your way to the other side of the blue block barrier you see. Go through this door to the right and go past the elevator. Go through the far right door to get Varia

LIES! It took me forever to find it >:[
The point of Metroid is to explore, and it just felt so wrong when I read that spoiler  Crying or Very sad
I'm sure this idea would never catch on but...

Maybe if we described how....  descriptive our spoilers are.
Would it be detailed, or a vague/rough hint?  :-k

edit: To preempt any replies to this...  Yes.  A spoiler is still a spoiler.  Reader beware. Embarassed

Or just highlight only a few words to get a rough idea before reading the whole thing....  Maybe?
Okay, I've been searching awhile now, and I must ask for a general direction:

Where do I go after supers?
