Wow. Another excellent job Kriole. I think another hack mentioned something about Kriole-proofing hacks.... Impossible.
Edit: Watched it again with less turbo mode, and was surprised at how much I missed just from coughing or stuff. Did all of you get the X-ray that way? That isn't quite the intended way...
Also the room before mt doom (from the right side), wouldn't it make more sense to use a diagonal spark?

It would make more sense, but it does no save more time. If you spark vertically, you don't need to fall down to the lower platform, you can land on the higher platform. My method was about 20 frames faster.
I got good news and bad news. I just got a new computer. Wee. The bad news are that when I play an emulator the in-game key for "L", aim down, does not work at all. I reckon this is why my movies are desyncing. If someone would be kind enough and tell me what I am doing wrong =(
It's kinda funny; I started working on an any% TAS. On Spore Spawns second round I managed to pump 9 missiles into him. That is 1 missile away from a 2-round. Unfortunately, I could not, over 2 days time, find any possible improvement to that fight. This is very unfortunate news indeed =(.
I think getting the Crocomire PBs as prime power bombs is a little faster than the supposed ones. Since you don't have to waste every single missile on the larvas leading to those power bombs. Though aquiring 2 power bomb packs altogether will be faster, since using wave bomb shield vs ridley will be faster, since you will skip the plasma beam.
In my 100% TAS, sparking through the lava-filled WS room requires about 230 energy. But taking the kraid->phantoon->draygon->ridley route, having the varia that is, will make it cost about 120~. Then, you need some more for the actual picking up of the gravity suit. So I take 2 energy + starting health should be enough to get the gravity suit without dying. The 2 closest energy tanks are the one in the Kraid area, the room with the 4 beetoms, and... and...uuuh... ah yes. The hi-jump boots pre-room.
I take this covers the most critical areas. Mini-kraid is another subject, but that's either early SA or just mash him with power beam shots.

Was it impossible to hit him with more then 5 on the first round? Then why was it possible with more on the second?

Though early SA requires early speedbooster which in turn requires massive lameness. I'd say go for all the "not so out of the way" missile packs and both pack of Supers, that would make him take maybe a minute with good ammo management.

Though if you get SA you can kill those creatures instantly.

It's rather hard to explain but let me try. As you might, or do, already know, spore spawn has 2 instances where you can mash him with missiles: the animation where he is opening his mouth, and the animation where he is closing his mouth. Shooting him with a missile during the first round while he is in the mouth-opening-phase will cancel the animation and turn him completely open, and start the mouth-closing animation. But, during second round, you can shoot him with 4 missiles during the mouth opening phase, start the mouth-closing animation with another missile, and then shoot another 4 missiles during the mouth closing phase. I am not sure why he behaves like this during the second round.
Regarding the power bombs. I figured taking both is very much optimal. Taking the SA with 1 super missile pack requires revisiting the SA pre-room twice to have the amount of super missile to leave that area, like I do in my 100% TAS. But, taking the Crocomire power bomb allows you to enter the old wave beam room; another super missile pack, thus eliminating the revisit in the SA pre-room. Old wave beam room is very easy with a treadmill charge, since there is one treadmill just outside that room.
Hey Cardweaver does puddin have the same amount of mockballing required to progress as gravy? Gravy should have been called mockball =) thanks for the work

yes. mockballing/speedballing is my favorite technique, so it'll be in most of my hacks. I will warn you that Puddin is far worse than Gravy, and I recommend you read the comments in that thread before you play.
hmm i use a similar layout ,card i can copy and paste and make minor changes:
;=Left L=Down k=Right O=Up control(apple)=L big number key 0=R Enter=Start Spacebar=Select (item cancel) Left Arrow=Y (shot) Down Arrow=A (dash) Right Arrow=B (jump) Up Arrow=X (item select)
well i'm a gonna DO this .. (hack)
edit: i suck so hard, i cannot get past the options screen.. the screen goes blank after that (snes9x)
Are you planning on making any new Super Metroid hacks in the near future?
Well... I made Puddin, but its not as good as Gravy. I also made Playground, which is pretty much a one room hack with a boss. Also, Soup is in progress, and it looks good so far.
