samus finds the source of the two meteors that hit Talon IV and Aether, ans samus destroys it.
Who's to say that the two meteors came from the same place?
And who's to say that they didn't come from a planet with Phazon on it that went nova and launched bits of itself into space and that's how the two meteors came to be?
It'd be quite a task to find all the bits and pieces of an exploded planet and blow them up...
I think it's part of V-Mos' first conversation with you. You never see it...too bad...they could have tastefully put it anywhere and it would have owned. Go underneath Hydrodynamo station...into the Gravity Chamber...WHAM! A big blue rock is blocking the door!

You mean U-Mos. And yes, there are several Luminoth Lores about the "Stellar Object" and the impact and all the shit that happened after.

V-Mos is U-Mos' mother... She died giving birth to U-Mos... She was the third sentinel of Aether while U-Mos was fifth...
And the game never really said meteor. You have to remember that anything you're going to gather out of Echoes about the storyline will pretty much come from the Luminoth who were a religious and spiritual race. Like the Chozo were. The only difference was that in Prime you could use the Pirate Lore to piece the story together as opposed to the Chozo Lore.
The Luminoth calling the meteor that struck Aether as "The Stellar Object" is like the Chozo calling Metroid Prime "The Worm."
Yeah, the Luminoth lores even tell you about the fall of certain temples also. They're not as enigmatic as that of the chozo. The chozo were relatively hard to understand, but otherwise easy enough. The only real difference is that the Luminoth were smart enough to into stasis cells, whereas the "super high tech" chozo were eliminate slowly.
The Luminoth were more interested in Survival. The Chozo were tree-huggers that wanted to save their little world as they slowly rotted away from radiation poisoning.

Damnit! I could never tell the letters apart in that stupid font they have.
I totally second that notion. The A's and R's look too similar, and so do the U's and V's. They should change the font for Prime 3 to something more readable.

Strange, i am able to read as they normally are. They dont look any different. Well, at least the way i read them.
Yes it is Aether, it says so in the Cube magazines. But enough about the font.
For Prime 3, I think there should be a Phazon Beam that is permanently with you. Since this planet looks like its been totally smothered with Phazon, the creatures are probably gonna be massive Phazon mutants, so you'd need the Phazon Beam to beat them. Then you could have the Red Phazon Beam at the end for the final boss (A red Dark Samus?)
I want to have a continuation of the Four Elements theme of the beams in Prime and the usage of Aristotle's Fifth Element, Aether, in Prime 2. I'm really interested to see what they do with that.

That might be cool, although this Phazon Beam would have to be WAY less powerful than the one in Prime I.
Well since the Phazon supply would have to be portable as well as everlasting, it would naturally have to be weaker than the original Phazon Beam, which required almost constant exposure to pure Phazon samples from outside to work. Although I doubt you'd be able to have a portable Red Phazon beam, since it would spend its spare time burning you to a crisp.
Unless of course you use a special attachment that prevents you from feeling the intense pain of the red phazon, than maybe it would be possible. Image, the purple phazon beam: a beam composed of both red phazon and blue phazon.
