no prime 2 section yet. we're going to line up a series of tricks (right here on this forum, so stay tuned) and use them to start speed running. at that point i'll utilize my friends to compile a list of the most important or non-self-explanatory tricks and post them in the new prime 2 section. no time frame on that right now, except that, once it comes out in europe (at the end of this week), i doubt it will be long before runs start coming out.
as for the music, the only tracks publicly available at this point are over in the prime 2 music topic. i'll be posting a third track there shortly.
i doubt it will be long before runs start coming out.
I'm glad to hear that.
I love the sequence breaking runs those are so interesting to watch since I can't do anything close to what you guys can do.
As for natural-route those are interesting as well. Since I have such a hard time knowing where to go next I've used these types of runs as basically a video-walk-through.
I'm probably the worst player here so I'm not ashamed to admit that I've done this.
on the bright (?) side, runs won't be taking six months or anything ridiculous like that any time soon. I doubt more than a week for most. I'm sure that's a really appealing aspect for people.
Meh, I was having small doubts about weither to get this game or not (the most fun part of MP1 was breaking the sequence) but after hearing that MP3 file, all doubts were suddenly washed away...
So, I gather infinite bomb jump of doom (like in the demo) doesn't work in the full version? I mean if it does work, there must be SOME area where it can be used to take some big shortcuts...maybe...
Are there any more old-school tunes like "Hydrodynamo Station" (I think it was from one of the water areas in Super Metroid) and that multiplayer one(which is just barely recognizable)?
The Hydrodynamo Station Tune is a remake of the Red Soil Swampy Brinstar Area Tune. The Hunters Tune is a remake of the green Brinstar Background Music. Enjoy^^
