Or at least I think so. Take a look at these two pictures:

Notice anything? Well, I did. Is it just me, or do those two missiles use the same sprite? Not a big discovery, but it does is a discovery none-the-less.

Nintendo didnt make a mistake, its just that it saves room on the cartridge if they reuse sprites. Besides, they're both super missles, so they're supposed to look the same.

No, the missiles used in the cutscene are regular missiles. The explosion looks almost EXACTLY like the one used in Super Metroid.
