This should seriously be on the SM section of m2k2. I (or someone else) should probably make the video though, you know, to avoid plagiarism.  :)

I'm 99% sure that was edited. The room with the giant Sidehoppers doesn't have door blocks according to SMILE, much less is that door cover ever blue. Neat trick with the super missiles, though.
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
The door blocks to go backwards definitely exist. I've used them often (with codes to move Samus into them) to leave Tourian.
I don't see any reason to assume it's not legit.

Hmm, SMILE must just be misinterpreting them. Or maybe the door data exists, there just aren't any blocks for it normally (like in the sandfall rooms; there is perfectly good data for a transition back to the rooms above, but no door blocks!)

Is this that way get 8% ending?
I watching that and it was nice.

Where you need that X-ray visor? It is listed in 8% run.
Master, once the run Moozooh and Evilchen are working on is ready I'm sure someone would encode it and put it on youtube for you, after that you realize the glitch.
Speedrunner
8% don,t really interested me. But still i am bit curious what about is that glitch, because it is news to me.

Somebody already mention it is space time beam what you need. Still X-ray scope is listed in list. Need you x-ray scope elsewhere game?

And is this that (video) glitch what you need if you want get 8% ending? But where you need X-ray scope? If you use space time beam you don,t need X-ray scope IMO. Mainpage don,t mention X-ray scope here.

What about inviting the person that made the video to join our fine Metroid Community?  8-)

Unless that would be considered "spam".  :|

Just a thought.  Embarassed
So inviting people here is spamming?

Is that a fucking disgrace or what. I've been inviting people here and over to FinMetroid god knows how long. I don't see any problems with that.
Oh, I don't think it would be Spam either.  I'm just concerned that that is what 'aigamerDS' would think.  I said it in the hopes of only trying to prevent any unneeded scolding from 'aigamerDS'.

But I can't read peoples minds.

Now that I think about it, there would be nothing wrong with inviting him/her.  And if he/she takes offense at such a small thing, then maybe it's better he/she isn't a member.  aiwebs_008

My first discover that you can exit tourian from the where you came from but It won't work with hyper beam because it replace all your beam that require to do a glitch trick. This works with SNES, wii, and emulator. Note that emulator is different than other and SNES version have more chance to freeze. Anyway, enjoy. Please comment but don't spam.
Metroid Hunter
wtf, look at this.
obviously it is possible to play with the Hyper Beam outside of Tourian ;)

I don't know how to edit. Which mean this is pure recording. Do you believe me? I use my DVD recorder to do this.

To edit your post you can click on the 'Modify' button.  And they don't like double posting around here.  A simple edit, cut, paste...  into one of your other posts should appease the powers that be.  Leave the clean-up up to them (I guess). :-?

Just be careful of the slightest thing you say.  You wouldn't want to get cursed out!  laugh new

Edit:  Of course.  Welcome to the forum aigamerDS.  :-)
yeah
Welcome to the forums aigamerDS! The spacetime beam certainly does have some very strange uses. It's amazing what you can do once you use the spacetime beam to temporarily "reprogram" the game.

BTW, I experimented with the Spacetime beam in Kraid's room, and this is what happened.

Here ya go.

Did you try it with super missle? It cause glitch but it doesn't slow down at all.

Ok, thanks! I already fixed.
Stuffs. Yar.
Hello, aigaimer. Welcome!

And to ING-X, remember that the Space/Time beam works differently in different versions of different emulators, as well as the console, meaning that your smv would (probably) work differently on ZSNES, which would (again, probably) work differently compared to a SNES, which would (most likely) work differently compared to the Wii.

Speaking of which, has anyone actually done some hard comparisons between SNES and VC?

Actually, that was just for entertainment. I didn't even mean to exit the room; I just wanted to see what would happen if you fired the Spacetime beam in Kraid's room. I do remember it happening differently on ZSNES, but SNES9x is the closest thing to the SNES/VC in terms of the Spacetime Beam.
Excellent demo, aigamerDS. One of the most interesting examples on what can be done using Space/Time beam I've ever seen. The Tourian elevator room was especially cool and unexpected.

I did not see that coming. I think this is forum glitch. I couldn't delete so I have to replace this.

I have made some update for my video. I have now add annotations so you could understand better. Here's my link again. Annotations will only work IN youtube. I recommend you to double click this video below to get to that link.
