This was discovered by me. The second one is obvious, I just don't see people using it.

Speed Boost Mother Ship

Requirements:High Jump, Power Bombs, Speed Booster
Best used for: 100% games. Saves time
Location: Last save point under Robo Ridley

First make sure you have power bombed the first two (?) blocks in the first room towards RR.

Then return to the save point and save/recharge or whatever. Start running from behind the save station, and keep running left. You should reach Shinespark speeds under the platform and bomb-able blocks. Hold your spark, jump up and bomb the blocks, return to the floor and shine right (creating another way to save your spark), save it and then jump onto the platform and go into the right room. Shine right or left on the floor (in the dip) and save your spark yet again. Then jump onto the block and jump through the passageway. This will destroy all four blocks.

Requirements: Whatever you want. Atleast 5 missiles.[b]
Best Used For: Speed Runs, SBing Runs
Location: Large Shaft in Brinstar (Way to Tourian/Exit from LB)

In some speed runs I have noticed that when people are going to Tourian, they reach the top of the long shaft and enter from the Chozo Statue tunnel.

Instead, enter the LB enterance and simply shoot 5 Missiles (of you don't have the LB) to reach the enterance to Tourian quicker.

I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)

Is #1 used to get to that E-Tank? If not, I don't see how running all around for a spark is faster..

#2 people have done, like DaveB in his run when he gets the Long Beam on the way to Tourian.

If you need a recharge before going to Tourian (especially in hard), going the top way is faster than going to the Long Beam statue for the recharge.

I think the first involves ball-sparking through the hole in the room before the room with the E-tank? I doubt that's faster :?

it's ball-sparking trough the room where you need a powerbomb to open the small area, but there is a secret passage above it so you can skip the blocks. the next room has the E-tank.

I was informed of another way to get through the room (#1). After hearing of that, I realize that it isn't faster, just cool Wink
