pyt was a very, very, very promising group out of florida a few years back. to make a long story short, they were adopted by a record company as a kind of experiment, an experiment that was terminated when it became more trouble than it was worth. if you shop at any of the online music stores, you should be able to find the only released album under "p.y.t."
because i was friends with a close friend of one of the members, i actually have about twice as many tracks as are on that album. some of them are just astonishingly good, and it really frustrates me every time i listen to them that i am one of a privileged few who get to hear them. one of these days, i am going to rectify that.
you can hear one sample of them here (the album intro) and another one here (this one was not on the album). about that first one ... if you can make out what ashley is singing, you may catch a whiff of irony. it is so strong for me that it makes me cry. also, here's a pretty good summary article.
