OK, this time I know it's not on the main site already.  My other Fusion post was almost an F-up.  In the room with the M-Tank and PB-Tank in underwater AQA, you can shinespark into the plant-pillar thing to save time wasted with the usual boost back in the other room.  Ideal for 100%s, with the tanks and stuff.

I don't know if that's already used in the speedruns, but it's known (at least I know it >_>). I plan on making a major overhaul to the fusion section sometime in the future if nate is up for it.

Well, this one's sort of already up. The vid there doesn't show it being used in the same way you're using it, though.
Hehe, I did it that way once, just out of interest, and I'm not even a speed runner! IIRC, it's the bit where, after smashing through the plant to the right, you have to roll into a hidden tunnel and down a hole, right? If so, then yeah, I've done it that way once...

OK.  Here's a really cool timesaver that's not on main site.  And yes, it's an AQA speed trick.  When lowering the water level, you can press down immediately after walking over the console.  After you activate it, you'll have a shine charge to shinespark through the wall you came through, avoiding the wait for the water to lower.  It also makes skipping the M-Tank easier.  This shinespark trick works with other consoles, too, like Navigation Rooms.  However, Data Rooms are not compatible because the charge is killed while you get the item.  As for Save Rooms, after running in the room, press down, then jump on the console.  The game will save while you are shine charging.  If you then reset your game and reload that save, you will hear the shine charge sound during the spawn music.

It's actually possible to keep the charge in data rooms, though it's quite hard (I've done it before).
