Right, so yeah, not too much blabbing.

I guarantee that you will be stunned and shocked by my route choice, you will not know where I go next and why I do. I also make entertainment/speed tradeoffs for my own sake.

Throughout the run, I got better, and kept feeling the need to start over, but didn't have enough motivation to do so, and when this happens, a run gets dropped. So there is somebody very awesome to thank here for getting on my back to complete this run: Kriole.
He also did the Phantoon fight simply because I was too under motivated and disgusted with it, so thank you very much Kriole.

Next person is Cpadolf. To keep it summed up: he taught me how to TAS from day 1 and has put up with me ever since, which is simply amazing. I know I wouldn't be able to stand myself for a task like that.

Last 2 people are Saturn and Kejardon: I had asked Saturn for help with the KO grab from Ridley, and he had to re-do it 3-4 times due to energy/ammo management earlier in the fight, and I finally ended up getting one of my own that I was satisfied with.
This run would def not be as shocking if not for Kejardon helping me with.. well, you should all know. =)

*I got very lazy and that is why the end is so ugly and entertainless/unoptimized.*

I think that is it.
Enjoy?

Edit: ignore
Almost happy
That's only a WIP :-)

This run does thanks to a new route beat Krioles full run with a couple of minutes at least.

I haven't watched the run yet but you seem to have lost to Kriole's RBO run by over 20 minutes.

Anyway, good luck with your TAS endeavours!

Infact, he is 3 ingame minutes faster, and about 4½ realtime minutes faster. So no, he is not slower. The smv you posted was my WIP, which was until Ridley, and a little bit further. My full-length RBO can be found in this post.

Edit:....wrong post.

Wow, this sounds pretty amazing. Is it going to be on Youtube for all us Apple folk?

Makes it look smoother. Cutting out the all of the transitions makes you go a little "wtf just happened".
I run this here hotel of an evening
these videos do that even with the transitions laugh new
Well, I hope to see the whole thing soon. I assume this isn't a 100% reverse.

Hell no.. Although that thought has ran through not only my mind, but Kriole's as well.

Just too much backtracking.

Well, if you ever decide to, it would seem like a decent idea. Just to do it, you know? I would say like a 12% or something as well, but I don't think you could beat Ridely with so little equipment without the Varia Suit.

If you want the truth, Ridley isn't a problem at all, in fact, he is the part of the RBO that takes the least amount of energy. Now dealing with his AI is a whole other problem.
The most energy-consuming part of the RBO is the LN escape. Entrance is the 2nd, and Ridley is the least energy-consuming part.

Are you saying you could do a 12%?

Please don't quote entire posts like that, especially when they'd make a quote tunnel.

Quote tunnels are teh ownage.

And a low% RBO does sounds intresting, tho the % is way higher than 12.
I already have a new ingame RBO route (Hero of the Day) that I plan on using. (non-glitched)

I might talk with Hero about a low% RBO. We shall see.

What items are grabbed in this RBO? How many Energy Tanks does it require to beat Ridely?

I've already stated that Ridley is not the problem, escaping LN is where the most energy is needed.

And our route for this RBO isn't open to the public, and I'm not even sure we will do a low%. This RBO had pretty low items for the heated part of the run. Not trying to keep secrets, just the run won't even be started for a while. (At least until after me and Cpadolf finish our Any%)

Alrighty.. I was just asking so that I could possibly help you guys out, even though you likely have it handled and will tell me the same. I know Ridely isn't the problem, but I am sure you need something to take care of him.
