Actually, the ammo system brings up an interesting point: what fuels the Power Beam? Does the suit just pull energy out of its ass? Because you can's just "make" energy.

I always figured that beam ammo was stupid because that's what missiles are there for.  They're an instant more powerful alternative, but they have limited ammo.

Actually, I almost forgot about its existence for a while there... Once upon a time, I said to myself, "Rox, this game is awesome. You need to get a DS, if only for this game. When this game is released - buy one."

I think I'll have to do that.

Artee, if you check the video closely, when Samus is firing off the purple bouncing beam, each shot reduces an ammo number by one.

I'm sure there are other example in the video.

... yeah, there is. The Power Beam even requires ammo.

Not the Power Beam. All of the other ones do, but Power only needs ammo in First Hunt. If you look on the movie, the Reflect-Beam-Thing has an ammo count, but the Power doesn't.
