It's the first hack up there (not the video though)

Looks like some Japanese guy beat Acheron to being the second "zomg nu grafix created!!" hack released.

He also has taken up study from DMantra on how to make bizarre chozo statues.

Too bad his aesthetic sense is a bit lacking if you ask me. Oh and he destroyed the game's physics  Shocked

Oh wow.... the physics, they hurt my everything.  I'm starting play, I wonder if I can stand to play this...
Jupiter gravity. I couldn't play it more than a few minutes.
This is interesting, its a trans from the bottom part of the release box:

It seems to suggest that there will be less bugs if it's played with SNESGT. Anyone willing to try installing a scary unheard of and possibly Japanese emulator that could blow up their computer to see if it fixes the physics? Evil or Very Mad However, that later part may be saying that he isn't too worried even if people were to play it on SNES9x1.51. I don't see how having a different emulator should have that big a change in physics implementation. Perhaps it'd only fix some of the graphical bugs hanging around. Still, I really don't get how he could've intended the physics to be like that.

1:08, 41% You never get used to the physics, but at least it's short.  For me there were a few "Where do I go?" moments, usually tied in to an obscure item location.  Phantoon is great.  Everyone needs to play this hack so they can see Phantoon.  Ridley is somewhat interesting, but nothing spectacular.  I think I SBed when I played since:
I picked up plasma before spazer and beat Ridley before Draygon, nothing serious though

Edit:  Afterthought:  It was 1am when I finished so I forgot to mention a couple other things.  There are a few doors opening in the wrong direction and scrolling sky obscurities in here.  Some door transitions are, odd, but they are meant to be that way I think.  And really, the physics aren't too bad once you get high jump.  At first I almost didn't want to play because of jumping, relearning single wall jumping was a little tedious too but I think it was because I was so tired.

It's quite interesting that a hack pops up with attributes both me and acheron's hacks are well known for.

However, it's a terrible hack. It's laden with areas you can get perpetually stuck in pre-morph, there are small tile errors all over the place (some don't mind this but I do, because releasing a hack is supposed to be presenting a finished piece of work), and the physics are horrible. It's as if you're playing one of those old near-impossible NES games where you have to completely understand the crippled physics to make that jump, to that ledge, over that lava, with one life left. That's was my first reaction anyways. I guess I'll finished it but I really don't want to.

Edit: But before I go off the deep end bashing it, I should reserve my opinion until it's done.
I'm lost. I got Supers, Varia, and High jump but am stumped on where to go now.
Well since 80 percent of the hecks I've gotten up till now I've been controller-breakingly frusterating and still considered fun, I'll be passing this one up for sure. laugh new

It's funny, I was clearly not awake when I was playing it since I can barely remember item order.  I think you want to do this:
take the lower left door from landing site, you'll need bombs if you didn't pick them up

Bombs are upper right landing site

Well at least you can be sure he didn't directly copy your chozo statues otherwise they would've looked better than they do aiwebs_008

Anyway, I beat it earlier today with 1:24 39%. The jumping physics do get a bit more fun once you get the hijump boots, since whenever you jump you basically launch yourself with insane acceleration in whichever direction you're attempting to jump. Still, there are a large number of problems present, as other people have noted.

I'm stuck in the same place, but have no idea how to get the bombs. From the looks of things we need the grapple beam. Know where that is?
Almost happy
I think the physics are kinda fun, very hard to play with yes (which I'd say is because he has changed the normal speed for many kinds of movement making you feel like a newb) but fun. I think the physics would fit perfectly in TASes of SM, making them even more speedy than they already are.
Its just like the screw attack in redesign. Takes a while to get used to, but incredibly awesome when you do.

44% in 1:02
1:04 43%

I never did find Hi Jump.  Where was it?

Physics weren't as bad as everyone made it seem to be.  I had fun flying across rooms. :D
Oops, typoed earlier.  I meant to say that:
bombs are in the upper right from landing site as I said before, you want to use them in lower right landing site.  Sorry 'bout that.  If you can't find bombs look for subtle graphics differences

High jump boots are:
go down the elevator to brinstar, take the path that moves to the left side of the room and walk back to the elevator on the lower level

If no one else noticed the high jump boots respawn, I didn't notice if anything else did.
Hated by all
Wait, are the physics heavier than Redesign and Investigation?
Not really, he just changed it so you fly forwards like a maniac when spinjumping.
I want Samus in headphones.
Other than the kamikaze spin-jumping, I rather like this hack. I'm having trouble with the bombs. I know where they are, but I can't seem to get to them. I'm assuming there's a certain requirement to get them.

Is it possible to complete the hack without the bombs?

I would say that if you know where they are and can't get to them you probably don't know where they are.
Since there is no barrier to them...

And no, you're going to need bombs to finish.
Can't seem to get bombs... I know where to look from hints in the topic, but it seems like I'd need to do a walljump that's either extremely difficult or impossible and I'm not noticing something...
The item you guys see is the plasma.

The bombs are in the room with the first missiles, hidden in the right wall.
Desk, meet forehead. Of course they're in the room I didn't thoroughly check and hadn't yet bothered to check again.

Finished. 1:03, 43%.
I didn't really mind the quick spinjumps, but I don't like falling so fast. And walljumps were annoying.
I thought it was decent, but nothing exceptional. The tiling needs work and there were several places where it was obvious which room it originally was. It had some decent ideas, but it didn't seem to have gotten enough beta testing.
Saw some map bugs. They probably didn't change any door bitflags. Not much of a problem, since there didn't really seem to be any hidden rooms or paths.

Getting Plasma Beam earlier on made things fun!

This hack is kinda fun in a strange way once you get used to the jumping.  Reminds me a little of Metroid Magma just in the sense that it's small and odd.

Anyway, I've found everything BUT plasma, which everyone else seems to have found rather early.  Hint as to it's location?

Oh, and has anyone played the other hacks on that Japanese page?  Are they worth a download?

Edit:  Found and got plasma.  Beat it with 44%, which with one other is as high as I've seen.  If there's anything else I don't know where it would be.  I had all items, 65 missiles, 10 supers and 10 PBs.

Flawed but strangely fun is the best summation I can give.  And for those who don't like hard hacks, don't worry.  Physics aside, it's pretty much a pushover.
