Well... everyone's talking about Metroids... Metroids here Metroids there, of course Metroids are cool but, did you ever thought of having the X in 3D? That would be really cool, but now back to the subject:

I would like a Fish Metroid, a Metroid that swims in water and absorbs your energy. And then a mutated Metroid which ate phazon mutated X. Uhm, their form is... a... a Ditto like form (You know the pokemon Ditto?). Just with big teeth and magnificent eyes.

Yoshi, I know what that is..a Pikachu Metroid!

Laney...if they included the X somehow, it would have to be in a game taking place after Fusion. I don't know if they will have anymore games which take place after Fusion, because no Metroids are left. What would be the point of it being called Metroid without having anything to do with metroids in the game? Actually, that's just what I think. They'll probably find a way to use metroids again, even after Fusion took place.

Well Arkarian, before Metroid Fusion everyone thought this baby Metroid was the last of it's type, but then Nintendo just says, BSL cloned these, so for Metroid 5 Nintendo can just say, there's another research lab with cloned metroids on it and we got metroids again.
Now that we're at this off topic subject I got the opportunity to say, that I don't like the Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2 position in the story line. I mean, retro just interferes the Metroid 1-4 Storyline with a Tallon IV Story... I think my feelings about this are made of the Super Metroid Intro, it doesn't mention Tallon IV anywhere.
And back to the thing with the X and the Metroids and stories for further Metroid series, my suggestion:
Space Pirates (even if mother brain is defeated, there are space pirates, I mean, would Germany die if our Chancellor dies?) find the X, use them like the Metroids but, and now it comes, Samus Power Suit is like an egg for metroid babys, they'll grow sometimes, I mean the Metroid DNA copies itself and borns new metroids (At this point a research lab ist now needed). Don't ask me how this works.
And now, she has to hunt X (Plural) and Space Pirates, while she has Metroid and Chozo blood. So in , let's say Metroid 5, Metroids are your friends and you use them against the bad X parasites.

You're right, Nintendo could always take the cheap way out, like usual  :D .

And I'm liking your idea, actually. It would be nice to not have to fight metroids this time around. I'm all for changes like that. X would make a good enemy, along with Space Pirates.

yeah, I suppose you're right...I didn't realize that we'd be fighting them in Echoes as well. Maybe it's time for a new common enemy. If you don't think this is too off-topic, any ideas?

Yeah, but it couldn't be different, could it? I mean, Samus has Metroid DNA and the X hates her because of this DNA, so the Metroids should love her and try to penetrate her and make a family, make children and produce tiny baby metroids with human feet and... the idea's sick...

So, uhm, I also don't like the idea of space pirates... I want another bad force ... what's with... bad chozo? Every scociety has bad people, why souldn't the chozo have ones?
They are jealous of Samus Power Suit, because the bad chozo are stupid and not so intelligent like the good chozo. So they want to hunt Samus, because she has the abbility of power.

Because of this... I'm opening a new thread, post in it, when I opened it , please.

hmm..somehow I seriously a Metroid would love Samus just because she has some of their DNA. All metroids have relatively different DNA, just like humans. You don't exactly see every human loving every other human.

I highly doubt that would work either...last time I checked, the Chozo were extinct.

One thing I did notice was that, in the Restricted Area escape portion of Metroid Fusion, the Metroids didn't latch on to you when you touched them. I think that could mean that they can't anymore. I mean, I doubt a Metroid could latch onto another Metroid, and now you're part Metroid, na? So, having a game with Metroid allies would work, and totally own.

As far as the evil Chozo idea goes, who agrees with me that the Space Pirates look kinda like evil, mutated Chozo?

I agree with you. I wouldn't mind still fighting Space Pirates in the next couple of games. They could always have new types of Pirates, and it won't get boring, at least for me, for awhile.

And, I'd love having Metroids as allies this time around, as long as they're still in the game.

it would probably only be believable if metroids were found to hunt in groups, like wolves. wolves often 'love' other wolves and will accept them into their group, due to the additional hunting power the new individual will bring to the group. this is all assuming, of course, that metroids are not conscious beings like humans, and that they are more like animals (which, based on their simple, stereotyped behavior, seems to be true). if the metroids could detect that samus's suit was built of the same stuff as they were, merely in a different form, then i'd say we'd have a believable game on our hands (not to mention a fun one).

imagine playing as an omega metroid ... *stomp* *slurp* *belch* *squee!!*

I don't think I like the idea about -not- having space pirates in Metroid gmaes, I don't know why it just wouldn't feel right. I also think a Metroid game where you have a small army of Extremely dangerous creatures helping you would be way to easy. (The Metroid series is already too easy.)

Yeah, I think that Samus needs to continue going at it alone. The Metroids can be her allies, but I don't think that they should help her directly. I don't know..I just don't like the idea of the Metroids loving Samus.

Maybe so, but if it got any harder than it would be extremely hard to go for low percents. That's already hard enough as it is. And low percents are half the fun of Metroid for some people.

Except Zero Missions was easy regardless of low percent or not. I mean, besides Mother Brain being a bitch and maybe, just maybe Mecha Ridley, there's nothing the game offers. Look at how hard Ridley was in Super Metroid in a 14% game and compare it with Fusion's 1%/Zero Mission's 9/10%. Metroid Prime low percent games are difficult on an entirely different level. Battles are quite easy but the maneuvers for a 22% (soon to be 21%) are ludicrous. [/rant]
