In SMILE, with your hack open, select from the menu the command "Create IPS Patch". This will create a 100 kb or so file with a .ips extension. Upload that using the "Additional Options" menu on your posting window. The rom may be headered or unheadered when you create a patch.

.smv files are simply recordings of input, not actual movies, hence the very small file size. Thus, they must be played with the same version of Snes9x that created them.

Please don't double triple quadruple post, it makes me sad.  :(  Good grammar would help me turn that frown upside down too, but I guess I'm being nitpicky there...

It's very difficult for us to understand the exact problem and what you're doing wrong without a more thorough and descriptive explanation. Creating an IPS patch is a very simple process anyway... I've sent you an explanation in response to your PM and I assure you that following those instructions is all there is to making a patch. Headers have no bearing on the ability to make a patch, though mixing up headered and unheadered files when making one is bound to cause problems. Uploading a patch is also simple... make a post, attach patch. It's like attaching a file to an e-mail. If this is too complicated a process I recommend taking a Microcomputer Skills course at your local college or grade school, but this shouldn't be a problem if you're capable enough to find, download, and run SMILE.

Edit: Post needs more ellipses... I like ellipses... I wonder if anyone noticed...
...Nice suit colors.  aiwebs_024
Why did you choose to show pahntoon and crocomire, they look the same as the original, except the pretty gross suit colors, which , (someone has got to be honest here)  look terrible.  they look like a corrupt rom than a color change.  if this is your first hack then I'd suggest learning more on how to make things look good/different/workable before posting anyhting on it......

if it sounds like I'm being a jerk its cause I just woke up.....
the metroid is a lie !
why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why do you insist on making topics that have no patch availible make the topic when its ready fool laugh new.

why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! are you depleting our world's supply of exclamation marks?  grin new
the metroid is a lie !
oh why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tbh i dont know i just felt that i needed to :P.

anyway i hope that this hack doesnt turn out to be as bad as rebirth laugh new.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
You never need that many exclamation marks. Ever.
i dont think any of you know the problem... i know how to do all of that stuff, but when i upload the patch it says "your file is to big" or "it took too long to upload" or "you already posted this"... everytime i upload it doesn't work.
any reason why

And by the way, this hack is going to be kind of complicated, if you go in a door it will take you to a place, to what you need in there, but when you go out that door it will take you to a completely different place, and if you dont have the right items for that room, you cant go back cause that same door then takes you somewhere else, all bosses are quick to get to, i think its interesting, the design of the game is not really changed, rooms not changed much...but you must have good memory of which doors go where...sorry about the bad pics, i will put more up later...
