I don't have a recording or anything, but I'm sure it will be fairly easy to redo. Anyway, since you cant skip that bastard, I decided to fool around. Anyway, there are 2 pit blocks leading to the entrance: one above, one below. Once you get the power grip, the one above becomes a regular block to keep you from going back in. You cannot immediately turn around and go back in. The pit block breaks too fast. But if you immediately start placing bombs, you can get back above the pit block and go back in. When you leave, the statue will restart coming out of the ground. IF you bomb jump just barely on the ledge leading to the power grip room after getting the power grip, you can wait for the platforms to appear. If you enter the power grip room and leave, the platforms will be there, but the statue will be back at the bottom. I stopped playing from there.
I realize that this is completely useless and may have already been discovered, and I am not that good at explaining things, but it is still interesting.
Yeah, I remember finding this when I was trying to find a faster way to go about getting out of the powergrip room... thought maybe if we reentered the room on the left, then went back into the statue room, it might be fully risen and we could just walljump up and out. Alas, no go.
0_o Oops. I forgot there was a glitch topic. >.> I have no way to make movies. I could use an emulator, but I dont know where to get the rom >.> and then I would have to spend about 15 minutes getting to the power grip. Not worth the effort.
A simple explanation of the result is that the platforms are floating in the air and the statue isnt there. Someone else who understood my incoherent rambling can try and make a video of it.
BTW, please let this topic die. I will go repost this int he glitch topic.
