NBMB springball

Got it! I'm not sure if this was known to be possible or not yet, but everything I've read says it's not, so I figured I'd make a post. It requires x-ray climbing out of the springball room, walljumping all the way to the top of the empty space above it, and crystal flashing through the floor of another instance of the room. This doesn't require use of the GT code or any other items that would be absent in a normal NBMB run.

Actually we can get spring ball without too much trouble. Getting out of the room is trickier, but still possible; there's a video lying around somewhere

Oh. Oops. I can't find said video, but I'll take your word for it. What does that leave that NBMB still doesn't get? There can't be much left by now.

In all seriousness, if you're including x-ray climbing, the only item that's likely to always be impossible is going to be the Gravity Suit, since it does not exist until Phantoon has been defeated. Even that is likely to end up being done, since there's always the possibility of game-altering glitches.

There's space jump (can't get past Draygon); gravity suit, the two missile, two supers, energy and reserve in WS (don't exist); Ridley's energy tank (can't get past Ridley); the tanks in Golden Torizo's room (can't get out again); varia suit (can't get past Kraid); not sure if we can get the energy tank behind Crocomire... There are probably others too

Interesting that he also has a video of getting to Botwoon without gravity, speed booster or using a frozen metroid, so does that not mean that 14% is no longer low%, since Ice and Speed Booster can be skipped? I'm thinking that the zebetites may cause an issue, but I seem to recall that you can kill them, leave, and return. Can't test at the mo.

The Zebetites are indeed a problem. Remember that it was the skipping of the Zebetites that allowed for 14% in the first place

Thanks for the link P.JMan. As far as I know, 14% is still the minimum for fighting mother brain. As for having to fight her...well...I'm working on it.
