I have a question for Radix (and possibly Nate when he comes back). My VCR is a piece of crap. Things that are recorded on it don't like to work with other VCR's. Some VCR's won't even see the tape (like a black screen or something), and on one of mine, the tracking is horrible and can't be fixed.

Is that a problem?

Well I did just get a new, faily expensive, dvd+vcr, so I should hope it would handle anything. Are you recording in SP? Nate has better options than me so if you're going to take > 1 month to do a run, no need to worry about me anyway.

I don't know how to tell what I'm recording in, and if I did, I wouldn't know how to change it.

It plays fine on the VCR I recorded it on though.

If you can record 2 hours, it's SP, if you can record 6 hours, that's crappy-quality EP. Obviously we want SP... your vcr should have a button to change the speed on the remote.

My VCR has no button and I just have one of those universal remote things. I'll look in the VCR option menu tomorrow.
