Hi, I thought some of you might be interested in my Metroid speed run video. It finishes in about 32:20 by the rules here as I understand them. Here is the link:
http://www.vortiginous.com/vids/sdkess-metroid-3227.zip
It was played on a real NES with no cheats. There were a couple of big screw ups, but overall this was a pretty good run. I've actually sent the tape to Twin Galaxies along with another speed run I did in which I skipped Ridley. That run is very sloppy so I'm not going to make a video until I get a cleaner run.
I think sub-30 might be barely possible (without miniboss skips) with less mistakes and a few modifications. It won't be easy though...
EDIT: When Samus gets hit or when she's on an elevator she sometimes goes invisible. This looks strange, but it's due to my POS capture card not picking up every frame when Samus "flashes".
