Okay, so in that webcomic thing I sporadically do there's going to be a very petite lass who wears a coat that is far too big for her.  Since this is a complicated bit of drapery to deal with I was left with little option.  I purchased a used 3XL hooded jacket from a nice couple via ebay and then set about doing one of the hardest things I have ever done:  I made a mannequin.  I used copper rod stock and braized it together with a torch and brass fill rod, and used some anatomy books for reference.  Basically taking a week to build from conception to completion, it now stands 4' 10" without needing a support (I had been using half a music stand to support it when it was half done but I reinforced the legs in the last step) and is fully articulate and posable, provided one has a pair of pliers.

My webcam is shit:

Adjustable breasts ftw.
Too many fangirls to count
But... they are made of copper. <_<
Look, witty text!
Reminds me of a four-foot-long sword I made out of paper board (stuffed with newspaper and stuff) in my high school 3D Design class.

I'm also reminded of my trench coat I had started making out of duct tape.  It's wearable, and not uncomfortable, but it's a very long ways from complete--the body and sleeves aren't full-length, there's no belt to keep it closed, and there aren't any pockets or anything.  I had ought to get back to work on it sometime...

As for the build-it-yourself girlfriend:  pretty impressive, especially the head.  Do you plan on putting some kind of makeshift "skin" on the head, and torso?  It's obvious that her limbs aren't made for having any such thing--but they're a non-issue, since they'll always be hidden under coat sleeves and pants legs anyway.

And Klefmung:  at least they'll never sag.

Nah, no plans there really.  I might actually fill out the arms with something at some point to make the drapery more realistic though.
